Groovy Godess
Ordering from this establishment was a nightmare. First of all, my initial phone call was dismissive and it seemed as though the person on the other end was impatient and in a rush for me to finish speaking.

When I received my order, it was completely wrong and I had to get back on the phone and ask for the correct order. The man delivering was incredibly patient and supportive, but everyone else involved was miserable and unhelpful.

When I finally received the correct food, it tasted burnt and bad and the sushi came with FIVE PIECES, one of them not even a complete roll. I also paid an ADDITIONAL $10 for this disaster of a meal.

Do not order from here, do not even dine in, I appreciate the delivery driver but everything else is terribly disappointing.

….Dont do it-i never ever write reviews however today is the day. So without further ado …. A Culinary Adventure (or Misadventure at Hong Kong)
If you ever find yourself in Plymouth, NH, and are craving Chinese food, let me share a little story that might just save your appetite—and your sanity.
We were in town for our child’s hockey game and thought, “Why not treat ourselves to some Chinese cuisine?” Which is already a brave adventure with an 4,6 & 9 year old. “Everyone ready to sit and behave? Okay, great let’s do this!” Well, after a quick scroll through reviews, we settled on a place that didn’t have the best rating but seemed to have escaped the wrath of the most terrifying reviews. Arriving at 3:15 PM, we were ahead of schedule. Google said they opened at 3:30, so waiting 15 minutes wasn’t a big deal. However, when the clock struck 3:30 and the doors were still locked, I called to check in.

They informed me they’d be opening closer to 4 PM!!! After a bit of complaining, they changed their tune and said someone could be there in 10 minutes. Spoiler alert: they made it in five. So we ventured inside, only to be greeted by a bathroom that could double as a horror film set. The stench was so strong that I felt like I was training for an Olympic breath-holding competition. And hand soap? Forget about it. I had to instruct my kids to wash their hands vigorously with hot water—thank goodness for parental instincts!
As we proceeded to our table through a dining room that looked like it hadn’t seen a cleaning crew since the last ice age, we noticed a delightful array of smear marks and unclean tables. I managed to settle into a booth that was somehow both cramped and rocking, making it feel more like a carnival ride than a dining experience.
While my kids were busy trying to avoid touching anything (as I second guessed everything) I took a break to examine the ripped and tattered menu (immediately making me feel like I needed to wash my hands again…and I live on a FARM)—only to discover that the ledge on the wall was coated in a thick layer of dust. I felt my stomach turn as I asked my daughter to keep her head off the wall. My husband, ever the brave soul, spotted something suspicious in the corner. It turned out to be a tote used for transporting meat from the freezer right in the dining room to the kitchen. Yes, right in the dining area. Classy!
The ambiance was cold, quiet, and uncomfortable, and with the cook likely in a rush, we began to question how long it would take for our food to arrive. At that point, we exchanged worried glances and made a swift exit. On our way out, we stumbled upon the owner’s keys and an open set of toenail clippers just chilling at the cash register. Yes, you read that right—no fingernail but full on open toenail clippers.
So, if you’re feeling adventurous enough to give this place a shot, I recommend bringing your own hand soap, a supply of wipes, and maybe a little bottle of Imodium just in case.
In conclusion: food may be a gamble, but your stomach deserves better!

The hostess I met, don’t really remember her name, maybe Chrissy, Christina? She was so nice. She told me stories point-blank. I was intrigued, fascinated, uplifted, and I realized there was still some humanity left in this hole-in-a-wall town. Visiting from NYC, I was trying to find a small town eatery that could satisfy this huge stomach of mine. I was excited to find that Hong Kong Garden catered perfectly to my needs. Not only was the food perfect, the service spectacular, but I almost felt like I was a part of their family although I was by myself. 10/10 need to get the O again. Pls if u do one thing with this life, make. atrip here. I promise you, you won’t regret it.

Im giving 3 stars because even though I had an uncooked/partly cooked chicken finger that I had the privilege of biting into and realizing it mid bite.. the other food was fine and tasty. check your chicken better, no one wants raw chicken.

I order for delivery and was told an hour, For refrance I live 10 minutes away. By the time the food arrived it had been nearly 2 hours the food was ice cold and the fried food was soggy. Absolutely horrendous service when I called and asked where the food was I was yelled at and told to keep waiting. In the past I enjoyed this restaurant but I don’t know what happened in the past year but the service and food quality has been going downhill. Extremely disappointing!

When I put the order in on the phone the gentleman told me 20 minutes. I waited 20 minutes and then some. When I got there the gentleman was in the bathroom came out, went into the kitchen and started screaming at the help. Not in English My order came out.One of my orders was wrong. The food was not fresh. It looked like it had been reheated in cold frying oil. My order came to almost $60.00 I was very disappointed probably won’t order from there again. And it’s not like they were busy. There was no one there. No excuse for food that looked like it was saturated in oil.

The staff was very nice. It was my first time picking up takeout, and I wasn’t sure where to go to pick it up. I called a 2nd time and they let me know to go down the alley to the left.
It was very dark inside, and I was a little put off by the inside. That being said my family liked the food. The pork fried rice was a bit bland but pretty standard. The chicken fingers were decent. My family liked the General Gaus chicken, but it wasn’t for me. I prefer spicy for tsos or gaus. The egg roll was not edible, small red pieces of pork and just not tasty.
They want to eat there again at some point, I probably will skip it.

First off the entry was blocked so you cannot sit at any tables so we called in and picked up our order to a hostess with some sort of carcass on the counter which she proceeded to move out of sight. The Cook came out to take my payment and his hands were covered with a substance that resembled sauce of sort as he mumbled our overprice order. My wife asks for additional duck sauce and the gentleman cook was pleasant and brought out a container which had the consistency and color of barbecue sauce. We brought the food home and immediately my daughter vowed to not partake in dinner due to her friend getting food poison from there prior to. I said how bad could it be? Well I would say if there are no other Chinese restaurants open but this one it’s better just to get pizza.

I went to Hong Kong Garden with my girlfriend tonight, and honestly, it was such a great experience. As soon as we walked in, this super friendly guy greeted us and took our order–really welcoming vibe right from the start.

I got the “O” dinner plate with Gao’s chicken, and wow, the chicken was cooked perfectly–crispy on the outside, juicy inside, just how it should be. The fried rice was good too–not dry at all, and the pork in it had great flavor and texture. I also had crab rangoons that came with it, and they were spot-on: crunchy, creamy, everything you want in a rangoon.

The environment was clean, with decent lighting. I will very much be coming back here. The food was definitely worth it! and I’d highly recommend coming to sit down and eating here verse doing take out if you have the time!
