The owner onsite is friendly and super accommodating. Was there for an event after work. I ordered the beef and fry and it was ready in minutes. Made fresh to order. I love the original woodwork, exposed brick and windows. Tried the pizza previously and is delicious as well. Great local place for a quick bite to eat with a great atmosphere. Keep up the great work!

Nice place, nice atmosphere, decent staff. Decided to try this restaurant after visiting evil horse, the drinks were great, the food was good. We tried the onion rings and the pizza and the spicy pasta. We will definitely come back to try some other items.

A huge hidden gem. Food is fabulous, atmosphere is relaxed and open. Family friendly you can bring your kids and enjoy their delicious pizza and dishes along with a few drinks. Owner has a ton of integrity and always puts his customers first. My experience is always positive, never any complaints. A must try for the city of Crete.

Still 5 stars. I think every time I’ve been in, Daniel is the one working, taking orders, seating, etc. I was in again last night and he was great as always.
I really like living so close to The Loft and love taking friends and family there for food when they visit. The food and service are fantastic. Highly recommend!

My son took us for dinner at “The Loft Restaurant” in Crete, IL. When we arrived the place was empty. As we sat down, the waiter informed us the air conditioning was not working and some of the stuff on the menu was no longer available..
Although the waiter was nice, he would take a bit to come back. Now the food was good, but the service was a little slow. I was just comparing the waitress, who took care of another table, who was there at least twice as much to our waiter was at our table.
Now here’s the kicker. Regardless of the service, there is an automatic 23% tip added to the bill. My son was told that there was nothing that could be done about the tip. The 23% tip will be automatically added to the bill. I think the person paying should be the one adding the tip for the service, not the business.
This is not a place I will be going back to visit.

We always enjoy coming here. We recently hosted a surprise birthday party here and it was excellent. It’s a beautiful place, very roomy and comfortable. Food and drink were fresh and full for the duration of the party. My husband loves the Cajun pasta, I often order the salmon BLT (sooo good!) And my kids love that they can order a Shirley Temple here 🙂

I just ordered the mushroom and garlic pasta and it looks and tastes horrible. First, it is supposed to be in white cream sauce, but as soon as I opened the container I could look at it and tell how dry it is and when I tasted it was even dryer than it looked. Half of the pasta doesn’t even have a drop of sauce on it. I don’t think there is even a half a cup of sauce on it. In addition, there are so few mushrooms and onions that I can pick them out and count them (8 mushrooms). And absolutely no seasoning at all. Not to mention, I paid extra for chicken and got a few strips of pulled chicken thrown on top that would amount to the meat on a chicken drumstick. I paid $14 for this meal, which amounted to $20 after delivery and now have to add my own sauce and seasoning to make it edible. Or, better yet, it’s going straight in the garbage. Mind you, I’ve tried one of the other pasta dishes and salads from here which were okay, but this dish is highway robbery!!
