Down to earth yummy food with a country atmosphere NM style! The desert special was a bourbon apple pie that nearly made me weep, it was so good served warm with vanilla ice cream.

Truly a local roadside treasure. Choices are egg and breakfast oriented with a New Mex slant. There is the menu, and Daily specials and the deserts. With a rustic kitchen atmosphere. (Check out the old cookstoves in the corners)
Quick service, generally a locals place. Servings are just right.
For a treat, be sure to get a cinnamon roll either to go, share, or be overwhelmed. They are not small.

I told my wife that breakfast was going to be at a feed store. She was skeptical to say the least. Then we walked in the door and she was blown away by the charm. And then we were blown away by our breakfast. Absolutely worth the stop if you’re in Santa Fe. Oh, the empty plate? What’s left of my Benedict.

Ordered Huevos Rancheros, one of my favorite dishes. They serve this with blue corn tortillas that tasted great. Their chile is very good to excellent. Since I order Christmas, i.e., both red and green chile. Both have great chile flavor without being overpowered by other ingredients. Portion size is very good, filling but not over the top. Price is comparable to other local restaurants for such a dish.

WHAT A TREAT!!!! We’re passing through and our RV park alerted us to this find a bit off the map. Very friendly and cozy environment. Outside is really rustic and beautiful. Service was outstanding. Great menu. We had the “breakfast enchiladas” with fajita chicken and a fried egg on top. Tasted wonderful. Fresh and hot. Should have visited the feed store but on a schedule.

Been here twice over the course of six years and it’s still my favorite spot outside Santa Fe—real oasis-ranch feeling. You must start with the cinnamon roll, it is the best I’ve ever had. The green chile is also great because it was actually a touch spicy—very tasty—just go here!

Wow! What an excellent experience. We had picked a rather busy morning to try San Marcos Cafe and let me assure you it was worth the wait! The service was punctual and friendly and the food was amazing! You will need to order a cinnamon roll while you visit this cafe as theirs has to be one of the best I’ve experienced. Your team rocked the morning rush like a well oiled machine. We will be returning!
I’d like to also thank the feed store! You have saved me so many trips into town. Thank you for supplying such a wide variety of farm and garden supplies. Staff is always friendly and ready to help. I am grateful your here.

Started my meal with the Traditional Cinnamon Roll a Coffee and then dug into a San Marcos Crepe I thought that everything was tasty. The chile was on the mild side. I got Xmas as per my usual rule for trying a place for the first time. The environment was nice very local feel and homie. The waitress was nice and welcoming. Taking our order and keeping our glasses full. Definitely a great stop and the turquoise trail in Santa Fe county.
P.S. I love crispy Papa’s and they make them perfect

A pretty place to stop for yummy food.
The cinnamon roll was tasty, not the fat dough type but flaky. I had the spinach artichoke quiche which was so tender and delicious! It came with a side of fresh salad with homemade ranch dressing and potatoes that were perfect. Loved the whole plate! My partner had huevos rancheros christmas style which was a nice full plate and pretty good, not spicy which we prefer.

Very cozy local cafe for breakfast and lunch. Friendly and attentive service. Great New Mexico style enchiladas and burritos, lots of breakfast fare. Yummy bourbon apple pie with vanilla ice cream. And peacocks, chickens, a duck and turkeys in the side yard.
