I’ve been going to Sandy Flat Cafe for many years. They didn’t close, they just changed hands. Stopped in there earlier today. The best hotdogs and fries I’ve had in a long time. Plus, the sweetest and prettiest 2 young sisters running the place were absolutely amazing. I didn’t get a name, but the older sister helped me jump my car off because the battery was dead. That my friends is southern hospitality at its finest. Thanks again for helping me young lady. And great food. I’ll never forget it. See y’all soon.

Sandy Flat Cafe definitely brings back memories. Going out for wings with my grandpa, the wings that Sandy Flat have are juicy, crispy, extra crispy always consistent just like I remember years ago.
So if your a chicken wing fan that likes then crispy and naked these are the ones. No slimy chewy saturated in wing sauce with these just pure delicious.

The lady was nice, and the hotdog was made fast. The chili was decent, but the dog itself was not good, in my opinion. It was like a giant vienna sausage. A light pink color and a mush like texture.

Good is fantastic! Eaten there for 3 decades.. the server has it in her to do a great job.. very sweet and kind.. but i called it in, said i was close and in a hurry and it wasn’t even started when I got there(not busy at all) she couldn’t remember my order and my bun was cold.. this time and last time(but this time she did best it up happily when I asked .. has potential). Owner has been the best he can be to my family over the years. Thank you for that sir. So glad and thankful yall are back open.. and the store next door is great..nice to have.. love the newer menu.. but girl, get it together.. you’ve got it in you to be the best. Write down the order and get it taken care of so ppl can move on thru. I know you can. Over all, love this restaurant and I know the kinks will get worked thru.

Sandy Flats Cafe: A Forced Farewell and a Stomach-Churning Regret
Sandy Flats Cafe. The name used to conjure images of decent food at a genuinely good value. My wallet consistently left feeling fatter, and my taste buds, though not doing backflips, were usually content. But, alas, what was once a frequent haunt has now become a no-go zone, and a deep-seated regret.
My decision to end my patronage, forced upon me by a series of stomach-churning observations, centers squarely on the cafe’s culinary ringleader, often seen in her signature black tank top. I’ve had the unfortunate privilege of witnessing her unique approach to food preparation firsthand. Picture this: a seamless, horrifying ballet of handling grubby cash, followed by a casual swipe of her nostrils with the very palm that then lovingly graces my hash browns and bread. It’s an image seared into my brain, a vivid, nauseating tableau of potential cross-contamination.
The journey of that hand—from money, to nose, to my breakfast—has irrevocably tainted any lingering fondness I had for their budget-friendly meals. My imagination, a cruel and vivid tormentor, now conjures up inescapable visions of hair and snot doing the backstroke in my grits. It’s a powerful deterrent, one that even the most alluringly priced breakfast can’t overcome.
It’s better late than never, I suppose, to realize the extent of this gastronomic gamble. But oh, how I wish I’d never witnessed it in the first place. Ignorance, in this case, truly would have been bliss. To those brave souls with immune systems of steel and a high tolerance for the unexpected, I wish you well on your Sandy Flats adventure. As for me, my culinary journey will now decidedly avoid any establishment where “local flavor” might include anything resembling nasal secretions.

$8.09 for a Cheeseburger with only Mayonnaise on it and nothing else. I though5 maybe they sprinkled it with some gold dust or some platinum, then I could justify it but I questioned them to ensure that was the right price. They confirmed it was $8.09 for a single cheeseburger with mayonnaise only NO fries and NO drink, just the burger. Won’t EVER go back there again. Oh and they are cash only, so expect to pay the $3.00 ATM fee next door if you don’t have cash, making that a $11.09 cheeseburger and came with NO bag, NO salt NO pepper packets, NO napkins., NO ketchup, no nothing. Absurd. Unfriendly as could be also.

Small town hangout that makes America beautiful. Food is fine. Nothing special. It’s hot fresh but nothing special. The people in there are great people absolutely. A local place to get a bite and se your neighbors. I like this place.
