Want a thin, foldable New York slice? Or how about a gyro shaved in-house and served with our homemade tzatziki? Then visit New York To Go! We’re a locally-owned/Veteran-owned store opened in 2019 to bring the taste of NY pizza to Bismarck. We use quality ingredients like tomatoes from Italy for our sauce, fresh Cremini mushrooms, high-quality mozzarella, and fresh Italian sausage! But it’s our fresh-made dough that pulls it all together. High-gluten flour infused with water filtered through a New York WaterMaker™ system gives our dough the taste and texture of pizza like you’d find in NYC. Don’t forget our Nathan’s all-beef hot dogs, JUMBO wings, cheesy garlic bread, Caprese bread, salads and our YUMMY calzones.

I ordered a 20” pepperoni to go, and it was one of the best pies I’ve ever had. The crust was perfect—chewy on the bottom with a super crispy outer edge. Three huge slices just about did me in. This is officially our new favorite pizza in Bismarck. The staff were friendly and helpful. I chatted with a few employees, and everyone was in a great mood—which is especially impressive for a crew working on Independence Day.
The pizza tasted exactly like it was advertised. We both lived and worked in NY for almost 20 years, and this is the first pizza place that actually reminds us of ones in the city.
The calzone was very good too.
The people working there are genuinely friendly, great environment.
The owner was very kind.
We hope nothing but success for them!
Also the reviews talking about the crusts must be people who aren’t familiar with NY style pizza. It is made differently than a puffy “fast food ” pizza so I have no complaints about the crust.
Then upon entering, this larger sized man stood there and talked to someone for minutes, didn’t greet me or anything, it was awkward. It didn’t look busy, majority of the work was just standing around, nobody offered to see what I ordered until he was done with his personal conversation. I tell him I’m here to pick up an order, and he hollers back that he needs that order for a 10in. Well the adult man in the back that looks like he just got out of pre release makes a comment, “oh I got 10 inches for ya!” I would’ve like to laugh but judging at the looks and work ethic of him, he isn’t worth a damn in any way, shape or form.
Like buddy, you couldn’t even make a good pizza.
I really wanted to love New York to Go. The storefront looks genuinely promising, and the fact that it is locally and veteran-owned immediately made me want to give it my full support. Unfortunately, the experience simply did not live up to the promise, and I left feeling thoroughly disappointed.
