A nice little bar that had a band playing on a Sunday afternoon. Many domestic beers with variety of food options from pizza , tenderloins, or wings. Only about a miles from the south enterance to backbone state park.

This was my first and only time ordering food from there. My cheese balls were down right burnt. Why not recook them. It takes 4 minutes. The homemade fries tasted raw yet burnt. You do get a decent size helping of fries. The staff was unfriendly as I wasn’t a ‘regular’. I would rather drive the extra 15 min to a fast cook chain than support local. I spent $47 and it definitely was NOT worth that!

We visited mid-week a couple times while camping at the nearby State Park. The bar is nicely decorated, with knotty pine and limestone giving it a woodsy, lodge feel. Note: they take cash or checks– no credit cards. They do have an ATM though.
The burgers are very thick and very tasty. We had the mushroom Swiss burger twice. I also tried the tenderloin (it was also a good sandwich, but if you are really, really into tenderloins drive up to the bar in St. Olafs, where they are the house specialty). Dundee Bar has daily specials, they have pizza, and have a popular fish fry on Fridays.
The staff was fantastic–outgoing, friendly, and checked on us regularly. The bar was clean, has nice seating, and also has an outdoor patio. Some of the other customers looked like locals/regulars and were friendly– the bar had a welcoming atmosphere. I’ll happily return anytime we are in the area.

Gotta say, I wanted to like this place, I really did.
My wife and I went by ourselves several months back, and the service, food, hospitality – all of it was top notch. Not so tonight.
We went with our kids for my wife and I’s anniversary. We ordered an appetizer and food all at the same time. Then we waited. Waited for an hour and a half. Waitress checked on us once during that time. I finally got up and paid for the drinks and we left. The waitress went to check and they hadn’t even put the appetizer in yet, let alone the rest of our food (mind you she was checking to see if she needed to charge me for it since we were leaving…)
Never again.
Update – I appreciate the owners response. Looking back, I hope this was a one time deal, but honestly I don’t think I’ll visit again.

BUYER BEWARE: it says they take credit cards. They do NOT! They take CASH ONLY. There is an ATM but technically they do NOT take credit or debit cards.
Food was SO good & too hot to eat (that’s a good thing!) & our server, who was brand new, did a GREAT job!

A great place in a small town! We stopped in with family after riding our side x sides to Backbone Park. We sat outside on their large patio and enjoyed our pizza and onion rings. The pizza was delicious and baked to perfection. Our waitress was super nice! We will stop in again when we’re in the area.

We traveled over an hour from home to do some trout fishing and needed a good dinner place. We stopped by Dundee Bar and grill and our waitress Cindy was PHENOMENAL. We hands down will be back with our friends and family and hope to have her again!! The prices and portion sizes were outstanding compared to everything back home!
