Went for a family dinner and the meal started off great — they chips were hot and fresh with excellent salsa flavor. We ordered queso con carne ($9) and it was hot fresh and thick enough grab on your chip and truly dip. The guacamole ($7) left a bit to be desired it was very basic with little flavor — if you like just plain avacados with a bit of salt this is what you will get. Our whole family agreed the avacados were fresh but lacked the flavor (such as onion, tomato, garlic, etc.) you would typically expect from guacamole. The drink I ordered was the mango margarita which had a get flavor but I didn’t care for the spicy salt around the top, and think it would have been better with a sugar option as mangos are typically sweeter. The main course we got a couple of options. As picture my daugher got a cheese quesadilla ($9) and the tortillas were homemade with excellent taste fresh and lots of cheese it was perfect for her. My other daughter got the pork taco ($8) and didn’t like that the cheese wasn’t shredded as they were use to. The Taco Trio ($24) offers a blend of each taco but by far everyone liked the soft taco shells over the hard (as the hard got soft and greasy flavored if not eaten first). We went back a second time as my family seemed to enjoy the fresh chips and salsa, ordering the queso again and it was so runny that we could not even scoop it and when we asked to replace it the waitress got very rude and said that is the way it is. I would have given a higher rating if we the same food and waitstaff as previously but the second trip left a bad taste with us.

Great place to go. The owner is a great guy. The staff are the friendliest. Birria tacos are delicious. Homemade chips and salsa are amazing. Great atmosphere and wonderful drinks.

Cool spot right downtown with outdoor seating. Good local tap list. Taco was great but $11 for a single taco is insane crazy

YUM! Oro Y Plata was exactly what I wanted after a long day of travel. I very much appreciated the simple, straightforward menu that made it very easy for my exhausted mind to study. All the selections sounded delish, and I wanted it all. So, I ordered the Taco Trio (carne molida, pulled chicken and pork guisada tacos served with rice and beans, $21.00). This way, I get a little bit of everything.

I’ll start with the best – the pulled chicken taco. Perfectly seasoned shredded chicken with fresh toppings cradled in a crispy, birria-style taco shell, I savored every bite. Not only was the chicken incredibly flavorful and juicy, but the crunchy shell made it even better. The other two tacos were also very well seasoned, bursting with flavor and equally as delish. I found them very similar in taste, just different meats. I was also a big fan of the soft, warm beans and spicy Mexican rice, the latter adding quite the kick which I enjoyed when I added on my burritos.

The service was great. Our waitress was attentive and very patient with me as I made my selection. The prices are a lil steep, but that’s to expect in a small, destination town. Don’t go here if you’re not willing to spend minimum $25.00 per person. There is great outdoor seating right off of Bridge Street to enjoy the beautiful weather and quaint downtown life.

Overall, I loved Oro Y Plata. I found the high price of the dish worth the fantastic experience. I highly recommend for a nice lunch/dinner.

Amazingly delicious! Their tortilla shells, chips and salsa are all made in house and they even have a tortilla press. We got their taco trio and the meat from each just melted in your mouth! Their homemade soup was so good and had just the right amount of spice! The OYP margarita was the tastiest drink we’ve had in a long time! Will definitely be back!

This spot is it if you are after an AMAZING margarita and some chips ! They had a small selection of taco entrees with two kid friendly options. There was no wait and we went on a busy Friday evening. The server we initially had a confused server and then were given a different server and she was awesome ! However, the seating and service overall were perfect. No food subsitutes and the queso is not super good imo. Overall an easy going stop if your in the area !

Gets a 2 on food only because of the chips and salsa, everything else was bland unfortunately. If I came again- I’d get chips, salsa, and a water. For that idea, I encourage you to go! For any other food, please don’t waste your money. I cannot believe that they serve avocado as “quac.” You can get 6 avocados for literally half the price of their “quac.” LOL. I wish I was someone who stuck up more for themselves or else I may have said something- but what do you say to a restaurant that serves bland food? Maybe it’s because we’ve had authentic food before but man $71 for bland food. The only reason I say these things is because I really don’t want someone else to experience it. I’m literally crying at the loss of money. I will NEVER get food from here again. I hope you guys protect yourselves too!

First time stopping in — great Mexican food and great service. Football was on every tv, seltzer on tap, and the fireplace was going strong. Please check rice for hair before serving. Other than that, it was perfect.

Without question the worst meal I’ve had in a very, very long time. Chicken taco and short rib taco had no flavor, no salsa, just a few bits of lettuce on top.

Difficult to decipher if there was actually any meat. Tacos were literally dripping with grease. I entertained myself by watching them drip…drip….drip.

Big chili pepper at least added a spark of color, but too hot to eat.

Nice setting and adequate service aren’t enough to justify the high prices.
