Reviews, by me, are not only about the food such as taste, preparation, quality, etc.; it’s about the atmosphere and quality of those that work there and their interaction while you’re there. It adds to “the experience.” Today, I tried the #17 cheesesteak sub sandwich. It came with onions and peppers, was seasoned well, and topped with American cheese, not the true Philly Whiz. Overall, there was plenty of meat, and the sandwich tasted very good as far as cheesesteaks go. The bread was a little too airy. BTW: we go here quite frequently; almost weekly. There’s a young woman with a long braided pony tail who usually takes your order and slices the meats. She NEVER smiles and actually has a distinct scowl all the time. I think her name is Kaitlyn. After ordering, I mistook the size of the bread and mentioned it to her. She actually snapped loudly back at me. Wowza! Really? You just ruined what’s usually a good experience here. In fact, it seems she sets the mood for the other six or so employees. They, too, now seem not to smile either. It’s a bad atmosphere now. The food is a winner. We love all their sandwiches. But, eating there is now a negative. I guess we’ll just get “to go” from now on.
7/1/25: Decided to try it again. especially since they make the best cheesesteaks in the area.
Yes, Miss I-Dont-Smile -Ever was there not smiling, nor greeting, etc. The others seemed happier, and I enjoyed a quick, pleasant conversation with Ali as he was making sandwiches. I’ll post a couple of pictures below of a well stuffed cheesesteak hero. I get it with the green peppers and onions. Mmmmmm…….so good! If you like a good cheesesteak, you should give this one a try. Enjoy!

I’m not from the Charleston area and decided to download the app and put in an online order and eat inside while I was in. This is the only Jersey Mikes I have tried and I have to say my husband and I was impressed! I had the buffalo chicken cheese steak and he had big kahuna cheese steak. The restaurant was extremely clean and the staff very kind. We will be back!

Workers greet every guest and always have a smile on their face. I have never had a question that wasn’t answered immediately so they are trained very well and they really seem to like the environment they work in. Its a nice atmosphere. Can be a little loud at times but what food establishment doesn’t. (Only reason I mentioned that is because I have chronic migraines.) Only a couple times it was loud enough to bother me but not bad enough to trigger a migraine. Overall great place, knowledgeable staff, good atmosphere

We always look for Jersey Mike’s when traveling. Their subs are always delicious. The only bad thing I would say is sometimes the sandwich maker is a little shy on the amount of meat, but still the best sub anywhere.

I grew up on these subs running around my grandparents house in Point Pleasant, NJ. Not quite the same taste, but still good. My fave is the #16 Mike’s Chicken Philly. They also have a nice little kids meal.

This evening we had the chance to dine in at Jersey Mike’s! They were able to make the Mike’s Famous Philly without the bread (low carb). I had banana peppers, lettuce, tomato, and mayo added. There was too much mayonnaise added. I wasn’t there to watch the ending preparation of it so I would have asked for light mayonnaise saying how they were putting it on. I was able to use my fork and remove some of it but it was still swimming in it. Definitely something I can correct next time though. My daughter had the turkey and cheese kids meal with a chocolate chip cookie.
There were new tables and chairs from the last time we were there which was nice. The staff was friendly and attentive. The restrooms were also very clean.
