We were seated by the fireplace, which was lovely. It was quite busy, loud, with more children than I expected. This was our mistake as we booked a reservation early in the evening – 6:00 pm. I had piccata which was tough, dry and absolutely no hint of lemon. I would’ve mentioned this to the waiter, but no one stopped to ask how our meal was after being served.

Though a bit noisy in the otherwise splendidly appointed and cozy back room, the attention to detail made for a very special dinner. Food a bit pricey but portions were generous. Don’t skip desert either which was delicious and an excellent number of choices from chocolate mousse to blueberry pie. And of course tiramisu.

Hi love, this restaurant in Cos Cob, Connecticut. I wanted to find a traditional, old-school Italian restaurant, and this is it. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. The people are so friendly and the food is excellent. I like traditional Italian food, not nouvelle cuisine! This is where to go if you like steak, pasta, or seafood. Their chicken Parmesan is excellent. They have a large wine selection, and a great bar area where you can have a dinner or a party of 12. The only dish I’ve ever heard anyone complain about in my groups is the pasta Primavera. But everything else has been great. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want traditional Italian food.
