Let me tell you if you haven’t tried Sushi Lover you need to do yourself a favor and go! The rolls are amazing! I cannot say enough great things about the food they put out. For me this is the only sushi place I go to and it’s well worth it. Kevin & Taylor are sushi masters and deserve some serious praise!

We were served by Ashton and Beckett, very polite and accurate service!!! The owner Sue came and welcomed us and so polite and kind. We got Avocado Bomb, dumplings, and fried crab for appetizers. Pregnant friendly foods as-well!! Crunch burrito (pregnancy friendly) is highly recommended! And the yum yum roll is also amazing! Friendly and welcoming atmosphere!

The sushi was delicious and recommendations were spot on. Staff was attentive even though it was busy for a Monday evening. We had to wait as there was only on trained sushi chef. Over half the tables were full and the take out business was hopping. I think they either short staffed or were surprised by the amount of business.

Well, where do we begin? How about the atmosphere. The energy was clean and clear as soon as I walked through the door. The staff was friendly and open for communication.
The food. Shootout to Taylor, the mastermind behind the creation of the new sunset roll. The presentation is fabulous. The taste is smooth, a l8ttle hint of sweet followed with an enjoyable and rich finish and the crunch aspect is a great addition. The rest of the sushi was good and obviously made with fresh ingredients.
If you don’t mind paying a little higher point for this sushi, then you shouldn’t have any issues. The rice is cooked perfectly and the sushi rolls are nice and solid. Even a guy who can’t really use chopsticks had no issues with the sushi roll breaking apart on its journey to my mouth! 5 stars all the way around.

A few weeks ago I was able to finally try Sushi Lover in Clarkston, Michigan. I went at lunch time on a Friday so it was super fast service and not a lot of people were dining in yet. The food was very good. I ordered the Yum Yum sushi roll, which was absolutely amazing, and beef ramen that had a rich and tasty broth. Definitely both were winners. I’ll be sure to visit again and try other things on their menu. @sushilover_clarkston

Great place to eat! We’ve tried different dishes, all was excellent. Best than other places I’ve tried around. Authentic Japanese food, dine-in must be awesome, thia place atmosphere and decoration is something else. Kind and nice people serving here. Great price/quality relation.

Everything was fresh and flavorful; waitstaff was attentive and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting.
For appetizer, we ordered the octopus in ponzu and the tuna salad. Really light and seasoned really well.
Entree was the sushi and sashimi combo which included 7 pc of sashimi, 7 pc nigiri, and a cali roll. The sashimi and nigiri were absolutely delicious. So tender and fresh. They melted in your mouth. My only issue is they forgot the cali roll and we had to remind them. It came out ultra fast.
The special roll was Mt. Osaka. You can probably tell why its named that. It takes at least 3 bites to tackle one roll. While I didn’t hate the ingredients, I felt it was more novel and was mostly rice. It isn’t something I would order again.
Overall, our menu choices is what made me boost our rating from 3 to 4 – we ordered less fried rolls that were doused in mayo.
We will be returning.
