It was ok. I had the filet mignon. They only had very large cuts. If I remember correctly, it was 13oz. I would have preferred a smaller portion. It tasted ok, but mine was a little overcooked. That being said, it was exceptionally tender. The asparagus was not cooked as much as I would have preferred as it was on the crispier side of al dente. My husband had chicken livers. He said there was no seasoning, so it had very little flavor. My friend had the Shrimp Boom Boom and liked it. I cant remember what our other friend had, but he also thought his was pretty tasty.

Heard from multiple people about this place. Finally went (And have been back three more times) and glad i did. Well worth the drive. Best catfish fritters i’ve ever had and its not even close. I don’t know what they do to their fries but they are incredible! Some of the best I ever had. Steaks are excellent as are their specials that keep the menu fresh as they always do some very creative takes. Nice people, great service and a really cool history. Don’t let prices scare you away, the portions are huge and quality is excellent.

This place is a hidden gem. It’s a down home small town restaurant. 2/3 of the folks in here are either neighbors and / or related. On the week ends they have fresh fish specials depending on what they can get flown in fresh. You’d better call ahead, find out what it is, and reserve your order. Reservations are good but not necessary if you want to belly up for a cocktail. Portions are massive. The steaks are massive. They’re also quality and delicious. Every meal is served with a side of spaghetti that’s delicious. Go…..adventure…..enjoy.

This is a hidden gem off the beaten path. We love it when they have their feature steak sinatra. They don’t have it all the time, but when they do, we go. It’s a very tender filet with a lobster tail and a prawn served on a bed of mash potatoes and asparagus and topped with lobster sauce. It’s amazing. Their house dressing is a garlic vinaigrette and is really good. My husband had the ribeye with grilled shrimp and said it was awesome as well. They serve all dishes with a side of spaghetti as well. I have to have sweet spaghetti, so I added a pack of sugar. If you’ve never been, definitely give it a try.

Server was rushed, tried to ask questions, but she rushed thru answers so we got incomplete answers. Salad was great, steaks were “market price on menu turned out market price was $65 per steak. Probably a ¾-1# filet——tenderized. I hate tenderized steaks! And haven’t found a meat shop that charges $65 for a steak. Asparagus was tough except for tips. My companions steak was not very tasty and was tough. We shoulda asked what mkt price was, but I know what filets cost in meat mkts in Springfield so figured I’d wind up paying $50tops—not. I was disappointed in both food and service, we won’t be returning. We were told we needed to get reservations so we did, couldn’t get them on we’d. So got them on Thursday. The place was busy, but lots of empty tables. Sorry it was so bad, it was my bday and I’ve wanted to go there for a long time, just never made it.
