The coffee shop was very quiet and had a nice barista. There were a lot books to choose from and a nice seating selection.

Easily the coziest, most beautiful coffee shop I have been to. It feels like a genuine small business, coffee shop and library and the barista that was working that day was very kind and patient. You can purchase the books and they have a wide selection. There’s plenty of seating area and every corner in the place has a beautiful and comfortable view and vibe to it whether you want to work, read, or just relax. I also went in February and they had plenty of books by black authors featured naturally. I got the Cookie butter latte with oat milk and it was delicious. Highly recommend this place.

I stopped in for a book signing event (Two-bit Wizard by J. Keith Thompson) and was pleasantly surprised by this cozy book and coffee shop! New books and used books are offered here, several little ‘nooks’ to sit and enjoy coffee, tea or fresh baked goods. If you need time away from the everyday stress of life I recommend stopping in for a spell! I highly recommend the Blueberry Iced Tea ( unsweetened), it is a refreshing treat!

My favorite café/bookstore in the area. Incredibly charming and friendly, with the best atmosphere I could ask for. They have plenty of snacks and a large drink menu, which hasn’t disappointed me yet. Mickey and all of his staff are knowledgable and nice, and it’s affordable, as well. They have a restroom, free water, and street parking. There’s lots of events, as well, such as a tarot reading night I went to, weekly craft nights, and a market on sundays!

Visited from neighbor city Jeff for the first time. Ellis was very friendly and helpful. I like their interior design and the idea about having lots of books available. The coffee and sandwich both were tasty. Recommend Peace✌️
Another great experience even on their kind of busy day!

I’m here almost every day. The place is great, the food is amazing, the service even better, and I can’t express how amazing the atmosphere is. Amazing place for a meet up with friends and a quick snack or to finish up that homework assignment. 1000/10 would recommend.

If you’re looking for a charming and inviting spot to enjoy a delicious latte and immerse yourself in a good book, look no further than Mickey’s.

From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The shop is beautifully decorated with plenty of greenery, vintage decor, and lots of natural light pouring in through the large windows. It was a peaceful and serene space that made me feel instantly relaxed and oh so cozy.

One of the highlights of this coffee shop for me is their homemade flavored syrups for lattes. I tried the blackberry syrup and it was absolutely delicious! The syrup had a subtle yet distinct flavor that perfectly complemented the coffee. It was clear that the shop takes pride in using high-quality ingredients and putting care and attention into crafting their beverages.

As I sipped my latte, I perused the book selection. They have a great mix of new-ish releases, classics, and lesser-known titles. I appreciated the curated selection, which made it easy to find something that suited anyones’s taste.

Overall, I highly recommend this New Albany charmer. The combination of delicious beverages, inviting atmosphere, and great book selection made for a truly enjoyable experience. It’s the perfect spot to relax and unwind with a good book or catch up with a friend over a cup of coffee.

A lovely place to stop by to read and relax while enjoying a cup of local coffee. Usually pretty quiet. Lots of old books to read and purchase available, including a kids’ section. The banana bars are awesome!
