Welcome to Baratié Formerly known as The Pâté Shop, Baratié is a family-rooted restaurant passed down to Executive Chef Shane. The new name, inspired by his favorite anime, pays homage to a story that deeply resonates with his own journey. In the anime One Piece , a passionate line cook named Sanji dreams of creating fine dining, but his chef refuses to support his vision. Similarly, while holding an executive chef position, Shane faced resistance when trying to introduce fine dining something he felt was true to who he is. Unwilling to compromise his passion, he stepped away and created Baratié a casually elevated Caribbean dining experience that honors the flavors of his mother’s original kitchen, now reimagined through his culinary lens

Great experience at Baratié!!!!
Love the ambiance, the friendly staff and most importantly the food!! So many delicious choices!! We got there around 10:30 on a Tuesday morning and were lucky to have a parking spot right in front the restaurant.
We went for the Cookies and Cream Pancakes, the Chicken and Waffles, and the Oxtail Cheese Steak Sandwich…. it was all delicious!!!!
Portions were generous, the chicken well seasoned, the oxtail had a nice spice to it and the cookies and cream pancakes were perfectly done!
We will be back!!

This was my second time visiting Baratié SXM and I can confidently say it is one of the best restaurants in Saint Martin. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel genuinely welcomed and appreciated. They went above and beyond to make sure my birthday was special, and that level of care truly stands out.
The food is absolutely amazing, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. One of my favorite appetizers is the conch ceviche. It is a MUST try. Perfectly seasoned and so fresh! The drinks are also always on point, well-balanced, refreshing, and crafted with care.
The ambiance is beautiful, relaxed, and vibrant all at the same time. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just looking for a great place to eat while visiting SXM, this is the spot.
Baratié SXM is easily one of my absolute favorites on the island, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Saint Martin.

Beautiful seating area and great vibes. Our server Solene was excellent and the food was perfect! No complaints at all and definitely would come back. I had the raspberry cheesecake pancakes and the chicken and waffles.

I brought 20 guests here for breakfast during their visit to Saint Martin, and from start to finish, the experience was phenomenal. The service was seamless, the attention to detail was impressive, and the presentation of the food was beautiful. Everything felt intentional, thoughtful, and perfectly executed.
The team took incredible care of our entire group, making everyone feel welcomed and unrushed despite the size of the party. The vibe is effortlessly cool and inviting, and the food completely stole the show—so much so that multiple guests said they would come back to Saint Martin just to eat here again.

The barkeep understood the assignment, ordered an apple juice since I was the designated driver and he made sure to dress up my drink and who would have thought mint paired well with apple juice. The food was definitely worth the visit.

As a diner seeking creative and satisfying plant-based options, they offer 3 to 4 main dishes : plant-based burger, pesto pasta, chickpea curry, avocado toast….we couldn’t try the avocado toast as it was not available for lunch.
The chickpea curry was delicious, rick and flavourful with steamed rice, pasta with veggies was perfect and the plant-based burger wasn’t like a homemade patty but still was decent enough.. we shared everything as the portions are big enough to share.
And not to forget the drinks : passion fruit homemade juice and passion fruit with mango juice both were delicious and refreshing!
We also met the owner, who was kind enough to tell us about how he started this restaurant and his inspiration behind the decor that he chose.
Finally verdict : Baratié is a rare establishment that successfully delivers on all fronts: food, flavor, and feeling. If you are looking for a spot with unparalleled ambience and decor, or if you simply crave a phenomenal and memorable vegan meal, this place should be at the top of your list.

I may have an obsession. I have tried Baratié’s breakfast, lunch and their private group dinner menus and have loved EVERYTHING. All the meals I’ve tried are bursting with flavor, and of such high quality. Today, I had the BBQ English muffin, substituted with shredded chicken instead of shredded pork, and it was so delicious. Special shoutout to the sauce that comes with those fries, because YUM. When it comes to dessert, get anything that has that out-of-this-world homemade cream cheese frosting/filling/whipped cream in it. We enjoyed the strawberry cheesecake waffles!
This place has everything. Great food, beautiful decor and cozy ambience. My favorite part, though, is the fact that young local entrepreneurs are behind it all!

Visited for my husbands birthday for brunch. The place was super beautiful and our waitress Shakira was amazing. The food was amazing, I had the smash burger pancakes, and it was delicious and even my picky eater 3 year old loved it as well. The atmosphere was amazing and they celebrated my husbands birthday which was so nice. I would definitely recommend this establishment.

I just visited Baratie SXM and everything was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and high quality. The service was top-tier—attentive, friendly, and welcoming. The atmosphere was lively and fun, which made the experience even better. We were celebrating my friend’s birthday, and they surprised her with a special treat and sparklers, which was such a thoughtful touch. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it.
