Nice little spot. Filled with retirees though for breakfast. Food was average and was served hot which is good. Dont order the “hot chocolate”. Literally hot water and chocolate syrup you can see right through yuck. The ladies/servers/cooks were courteous and stayed busy. Parking was sufficient.

Absolutely great please for an early quick and delicious morning breakfast! As you come in just go ahead and sit yourself, find a nice booth or table and get ready to be greater a few times with warm smiles and good mornings.

A server will promptly bring you over a menu with a large but reasonable variety of things to chose from from. Ranging from fresh pancakes soft and tasty to a delicious burger filled with season and flavor.

Your food normally takes around 15-20 minutes to come out but don’t expect to waiting more than 5 minutes for your drinks. I’d recommend a hot cop of coffee served with a side of local creamer or a nice not to hot cup of hot chocolate if your feeling adventurous.

Be prepared to have your nose hairs raging in excitement as the odors of delightfulness escape the kitchen and fill the air. It’s as if you can smell you specific meal being prepared.

The waiter and other staff are friendly and respectful. They server the food in a. Timely
manner and now even accept card or Apple payments.

If your visiting Bloomfield for business or family this is a great spot to grab some breakfast and taste a piece of the historic town.

P.S The last picture shows just how much we enjoyed our food finishing everything on our plates.

Good stuff and gluten free options
Had an omelet with yummy internals today. Grits were spot on. Wife had a garden salad which was good and she also had oatmeal. Great meal and great service. Also had fries and they were cooked nicely. Wish the turkey bacon was cooked more but we didn’t specify well done so that’s on us

Great place for the working man. Quick, delicious, and best of all easy. What else could you ask for? Bottomless coffee, great selection for lunch, and above all stellar atmosphere. Keeping it old school.

Breakfast all day here! The atmosphere is extremely friendly and outgoing, older folk come here to just socialize while having a delicious bite of food. Lunch time is VERY busy. The food is delicious for the price, do not expect a super high quality fancy meal, expect something your Mom has cooked for you before school, and I love that! Staff are friendly and remember your name after a few visits.

Okay breakfast find. Place fills up quickly with Sunday regulars. The country omelette is chock full of meat and they use white american cheese which is my favorite for omelettes. The server was very friendly. Although I had to ask for round II coffee. The kitchen is very fast except the home fries weren’t made crispy as requested.

I always enjoy eating there. It’s a very nice small town eatery, with several regulars who come for the food and company. The staff are very pleasant.

My first visit. This is a gem. It’s not a hidden gem because it is crowded, filled with coversation, and friendly. The atmosphere is a five in my mind because it very much reminds me of our restaurants in the small towns in southern Minnesota. It’s that “homey” feeling.
My patty melt was excellent, and the fries were crispy and tasty – the best I’ve had for a long time.
I really liked my server. She was attentive, careful to make sure she had the order correct – she did – and inquired as to my satisfaction without being intrusive.
Looking around the room, all of the meals appeared excellent.
What an amazing experience – one that almost anyone should enjoy.

This place was way better in the 1980’s and 1990’s. Service was faster and friendlier

The waitresses today can be anywhere from curt to flat out cranky and rude. None of them ever seem to smile and greet you appropriately when you enter. They are always “tired” or “in pain” or “irritable”

Waitresses also openly “fight” among themselves as to who gets the next customer or next table. Owner seems to allow it and does not care.

When you are in a customer service role you are supposed to make your customers welcome at ALL TIMES and this just does not happen even though I was known for tipping very well.

They only cared about my money…obviously not about me, the customer

Today, in order to get a simple breakfast it takes forever even on a “non busy” Tuesday morning. 50 minutes and still no food

One of the staff members begs people to loan her money and she beat me out of $20 because of my kindness. It’s like they don’t pay their staff or something

As I had other things to do that day I could not wait any longer and left hungry

Also, prepare yourself to be PANHANDLED several times per week on the sidewalk and parking lot by an elderly lottery addicted lady and a few other shady characters on the lower / poor side of the income scale.

Restaurant needs to truly be revitalized from the ground up

Owner needs to retire as he has lost control of the staff and it shows
