The food was good, it just was below my expectations. The tacos had great flavor, but there wasn’t any onions or cilantro inside the tacos and it didn’t come with lime wedges. The dipping broth was kinda watery and less flavorful than what im used to… but I’m also a bit of a birra taco snob.
It also came with chips, salsa and beans. I don’t really have much to say, it wasn’t bad but not impressive either.
Chocolate cake was good, besides being a bit dry. It was a very generous slice which was nice.
I only did a pick up order but the staff was lovely and the restaurant looked gorgeous.
I will probably go again next time im in the area and try some of their other food options on the menu.

Love coming here for dinner. From the Chips and Salsa to the cocktails-it can’t get any better. Tonight we had our favorites-the Enchiladas- Mole and the Verdej. Simply delicious! The service is fabulous too.

Great Mexican Restaurant. Very seafood forward. I enjoyed 1 spinach 1 cheese enchilada and the cilantro rice with blackheads and my husband enjoyed the tacos. The mango guacamole was freshly made and delicious. The Margs are large and taste good but very light on the Tequila hadvto ask for a shot to add to.

It was Saturday night at 5 and only two servers and no bartender. Sat at the bar and took over 20 mins for someone to even greet me. I ordered a drink and 20 mins later it was made but the server mixed it then put ice over it. Worst drink ever. She never cam back and was sweeping the floor and cleaning tables. Where was the owner during all this mess. Really wanted to try the food but server never came back so I left. sorry but you need to do a lot better. I can’t really blame the staff but it is the owner responsibility to make sure restaurant is staffed. How do you not have a bartender on a Saturday night?

This is a small modern Mexican restaurant with a full bar. The atmosphere is “upscale casual” with some really cool modern light fixtures.
The food was phenomenal – I have had Birria tacos in Mexico that weren’t this good. The rice is exceptional as well. I did need to ask for extra onions and cilantro, but they brought it out right away.
My husband had the ranchero tacos and he loved them and connected on the rice as well.
The only thing I wish is that the Birria came with a side of guacamole. You can get fresh made guac for $10.75 but I didn’t need that much with my tacos.
We were there on a Friday at around 7pm and the service was prompt and friendly.

My husband and I had dinner here while on vacation visiting my parents. Their restaurant is located inside of a strip mall but when you open the door, you are pleasantly surprised by how gorgeous it is inside! We were greeted quickly and taken to the bar to be seated. Our server (I’m sad I don’t remember his name) was very attentive and helped us make choices from their amazing menu. We got the guacamole to start which was perfect! I had the Mahi Al Pastor which was so delicious! My husband got the Enchiladas Del Mar from the Specialty Dishes menu and he loved them! The drinks were fabulous, the service was on point and the food was sooo yummy! We recently needed a gift idea for my parents so I called to get a gift card to this amazing restaurant and I had the absolute pleasure of speaking with Veronica. She was so incredibly sweet and helped me with the gift card and because we are from out of town, offered to drive it to my parent’s house!!!!! I was blown away by her kindness which makes me love this place even more! If you are in the area, this place is a must!

Amazing! Our only regret is that we waited so long to try it. It was so good the first night that we went back the very next night. A truly unique menu with plenty of options. The swordfish (dinner special) was cooked to perfection. The fig chili glazed salmon melted in your mouth, grilled marinated lamb chops with plantains and arroz verde exceeded expectation. The guacamole appetizer topped with ribeye and chicharone was without a doubt the best I’ve ever had and I have had authentic in Arizona, New Mexico and San Diego! Duck empenadas with tamarind sauce? Yes please! Our waitress Heydi was very personable and attentive. The entire staff is knowledgeable of the menu and ready to serve. Joaquin has really outdone himself and we can only wish him blessings of prosperity. We feel blessed to have him in Ocean Isle and look forward to many more wonderful memories!
