This burger spot is essentially just a food truck, but the food is solid, and the service is great
The food truck itself is nice and clean, and there’s a big signage out front. There is some picnic bench seating if you care to eat there, but each order is ready to take home
You can also find a menu and other information posted on the outside. The menu mostly offers burgers, but there are a couple other offerings like a cheesesteak, partner, etc.
The staff were very friendly and precessional. I really appreciated that they double checked everything in our to-go bags against what we ordered just to make sure we had everything. Everything was bagged, and the orders had the individual order and special order requests written on top
Everything tasted great. The burgers were classic burgers, slightly messy, but very flavorful. The fries weren’t quite as crisp as I like, but they were seasoned well and tasty
Some tips:
Consider ordering online so you can have your meal ready when you arrive
The burgers/entrees don’t come with fries, so, consider ordering a couple fries to share. One order of fries is more than enough for 2 people to share. To do this just make your meal a combo on the ones you want to have fries. Combos also come with a drink, but it’s not a fountain drink it’s in cans which they also bag for you

My husband and i decided to try this place. It’s a food truck and the food was awesome! We ordered a steak sandwich and split it between us. They put a lot of food on the plate. The steak was full of flavor and they piled on the fries and onion rings.

Been wanting to hit this place for a long time and finally had a chance. Was late, but Jimmy hooked me up with a delicious burger! The fries were nice too. There are several burger options on the menu, will come back and try more for sure. Looks like he’s by himself there, maybe the hardest working guy in the food truck business. There was some covered seating next to the food truck. Some parking nearby as well. Come out and support local businesses and avoid chain restaurants. I highly recommend this place!

I was really craving a burger that wasn’t fast food, so I went online and found Jimmys Big Burgers. It looked REALLY good and was close enough to pick up and bring home hot, so I decided to give them a chance. The truck itself is situated between what looks like a body shop keep yard and a “Massage” parlor that seemed to be popular because I saw at least 10 people come in and out at 12 in the afternoon.
The gentleman who took my order was very good I suppose. He wrote down every word in full for the order. Meaning if I asked for the burger with no mushrooms, rather than shorthanding the word he wrote the whole thing. And very neatly I might add. No even at the short distance I was from him, I could clearly read what he had written. And again, he didn’t abbreviate anything, he wrote the whole word every time for every thing. With that said, every single order was incorrect! Not maybe just one or two, but 100% of my almost $80 order was done incorrectly. Let me rephrase, 100% of the burgers I bought were completely wrong. They did manage to get the fries and 12oz can of sprite that makes the order, SIX DOLLARS MORE, correct.
My visit to Jimmys Big Burgers will be the very first and last visit. The price was absurd, food was mediocre and attention to detail was nonexistent. I’m not trying to deter anyone from going, this is just my experience. However I’ll say that if you have any modifications to your order, you should check it before you leave.

Stopped by after a long hike on the Fourth. We ordered a Texas burger and a Jimmy’s burger. The portions were MASSIVE, staff were friendly, and the food was delicious. Our dog had a space to relax in, too.

The burgers and fries are delicious and filling. Note: They recently moved to a new location with great parking, not far from previous location. But, back to the food, which is amazing. They offer some of the best sandwiches and burgers. And those fries!!! All served up hot and fresh.

Now this is what you call a burger!! Definitely one of the best burgers I’ve had in Austin thus far. Got to try the Texas Double Burger – so delicious and filling! It’s in a pretty hidden area off South Congress in South Austin, so be careful not to miss it. The cooks were super friendly! Can’t wait to come back and try their other options.

Yelpers, I am telling you this food truck has the best burgers in the Austin area. They are phenomenal and delicious.
You can opt for a double patty but I will tell you try the single patty first. The double patty is a lot. Now if you have a bottomless pit or tapeworm then go for the double patty.
The staff here are cool as can be, you can go with just the hamburger or do the combo. They do offer a variety of other food such as wings.
Parking at the new location isn’t too bad, but they are sharing with other businesses.
This place you must definitely try if you like a good old fashion tasty hamburger.

First of all, I love the extra napkins and ketchup without even asking. Very much appreciated. Nice menu without of variety, for my first time I stuck with a Bacon Cheeseburger. They’ve also got cheesesteaks, chicken sandwiches, wings and Tenders. Don’t let the location throw you, the food is excellent. Love the tangy flavor on the burger and the fries. Oh the fries, somewhere between a regular fry and a steak fry. If you’re hungry this is a great stop!

Burger was really good! Everything was nice and hot when I was handed my tray of food. Patty used in the burger was of good quality. I ordered my burger as a combo that came with fries and two can beverages. Only bad thing was my cans of soda got warm since all seating is outside.
