When walking into the restaurant it offers a nicely lit, modern scene. Beautiful warm lights poke through tasteful chandeliers from the ceiling and combine seamlessly with natural light creeping down from the ground floor above with cascading strays bouncing off the greenery of the garden outside.

The food here was really special. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to for a while, offering a wide range of culinary options; seafood, meat and vegetarian all are all adequately touched on throughout the menu.

I had the privilege of taking the wrapped veil first, which was a decedent start to a decedent meal. With rich cheese rolled inside the meat, and breadcrumbs and pistachio crumbled over the top, this was a textural masterpiece with accompanying flavours that are just as bold. The only thing to pick up on was the veil wasn’t quite as tender as I would have liked.

My main of choice was the lobster pasta. This was a meal to remember. The plating had been of upmost importance to the chef and that was clear. Large tender lobster chunks were carefully placed on top and throughout the dish comprised of well spun ladles of linguini. The plate carried a dominant seafood note coming from the lobster bisque that had a small funky kick at the end of the palette from the pine nuts that kept me coming back for more. The dish was somewhat dry which worked well for me as it was clearly putting the lobster and pasta first. The pasta was past al dente which again complimented the dish well, a tougher texture might’ve taken away from the pine nuts. A fantastic plate of food here.

The service was also fantastic as we were a big, difficult, table and the staff were completely accommodating. They brought out a cake for my auntie whose birthday it was and allowed us to derail the vibe of the place a little!

Everything is alright but not stellar, so worth a try I guess since it’s probably better than the average Italian place in Edinburgh

Lobster was pretty good actl

Pictured are starter portions, they’re a little bit small for mains portion but it’s actl almost enough if you’re getting starters as well.

A beautiful taster experience at new year. Every dish was fantastic. We picked a lovely bottle of natural wine to go with our food. The staff (owners) were very very helpful and knowledgeable in both food and wine. A wonderful experience..!

Cosy place in Stockbridge that serves elevated Italian dishes and a fine collection of wines. The owners are clearly passionate about what they are doing and they are more than happy to indulge you in the details of the food and wine if that is of interest to you! Well worth a visit if you enjoy a tasting menu.

A cosy Italian restaurant tucked away in Stockbridge – everything was delicious, you can feel the passion and love for food from the owners.

I chose this restaurant because I saw they also have vegetarian tasting menu options for my husband, but he was pescatarian for the evening, we ordered smaller portions as we weren’t hungry – 2 starter portions and a main. Delicious wine.

Will be back for the tasting menu. Thank you!

Delicious! Couldn’t say more good things about this place. Went with my parents and we had an incredible meal with excellent service. They’re super flexible to dietary restrictions – I enjoyed an amazing gluten free, vegetarian pasta. Definitely save room for dessert – the cacio & strawberry sorbet are the perfect finishers.

Absolutely incredible Italian restaurant! The food is all made in-house and you can really taste the passion and quality in every dish. It feels like fine dining, but with a very original twist that makes it stand out from anywhere else in Edinburgh. The flavours are authentic yet creative, and everything is beautifully presented. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a real Italian experience with a unique touch!

My friend recommended this place. He lives in Edinburgh more than 10years, he said this one is his favorite in Edinburgh.
We picked 7 courses menu and wine paring. Wine paring wax super worth! And all food menus are delicious and lovely plating. But my favorite menu was 6th course.

Wonderful experience in this restaurant. We had a table for 5. They received us with 2 courtesy small appetizers, a breaded ball stuffed with a paste made from olives and meat pate and the other made from polenta, aubergine and pesto, exquisite. Then we ordered starters, mains and desert. All came in the perfect time even when the place was busy. The selection of wine is also very good from bottles to the glass too. The ambient is modern and stylish with a mix of stone, wood and warming lighting. The waiters were attentive and friendly. They had a strong Covid protocol with the distance in between tables and social distance. I will recommend this place and certainly come back when I have a night in Edinburgh.
