Pretty good overall for a quick bite. Friendly service, my Denver omelet was very good. We found this place looking for a quick lunch during 75miles bike ride from Los Gatos to Monterey and it didn’t disappoint. Likely not famous for its coffee or upscale atmosphere, but it’s fast, not expensive and good food, so 5 stars. Ah, one more thing, “cat shack” was cute but no cats sadly.

Swung by here to break up a 4 hour drive between SLO and SF, this was a perfect halfway spot to stop and get a bite to eat and enjoy the scenery and park across the street. Friendly staff greeted us when we walked in. The menu has plenty of options, so we ordered a few items. We ordered a calamari sandwich, jalapeno burger, fries, and fried zucchini. The outdoor seating area next to the lagoon is great, really pretty and calming to relax at after being on the road for 2 hours. Dog friendly too, so that was a big plus.
The food came out pretty quickly. Good size on all of the food, more than enough to eat for the two of us and our toddler. My calamari sandwich was delicious, perfectly fried and not greasy. The sourdough bread was a really nice choice to balance out all of calamari, tartar sauce and veggies. My wife’s burger was loaded up with all of the fixing and it was a nice and juicy patty. It was quite good with the heat from the jalapenos. Crinkle cut fries were a fun surprise, cooked perfectly and not greasy. The fried zucchini were awesome, larger than anticipated and really juicy. Overall a great pitstop on a long drive, though I would certainly go out of my way a bit to eat here again!

My husband & I stopped by here for lunch… after reading the reviews, we thought we’d give it a chance and so happy we did!! My husband ordered a double cheeseburger and I ordered the calamari sandwich with a cup of clam chowder and it was soooo GOOD!! My soup had big chunks of clam, steamy hot and very tasty. My sandwich was perfectly topped with pickles, onions, tomatos and a yummy sauce… the calamari steak was cooked just right. His cheeseburger was good and also cooked perfectly. We were both in foody heaven… mmmmm. Portions are pretty big and it’s very affordable! There was no wait and we recieved our order in about 10-15 minutes. The lady who took our order was very friendly & nice. We sat outside at the picnic tables in the back and enjoyed the beautiful view of the water, wild flowers, birds & surrounding area. This is now a new favorite for us and anytime we are in the area we plan to come again. What a gem! Truly was a great lunch/dining experience!

Small & classic deli menu, plus a hearty clam chowder & a few sweet treats, all for a very reasonable price. Seating inside & outside, beside the canal. In a tiny town of limited options, this is a very good one!

Staying at the moss landing KOA and tried the Phils snack shack. I would not recommend it. My wife had oral surgery and just wanted some eggs and cheese. They said no problem. When I got it. No cheese and was way over cooked. I got a breakfast burrito, was huge. The bacon was not even cooked and the sausage was over cooked. When the wife called to ask why. The guy wouldn’t say anything. He just stayed quiet. Wouldn’t answer any questions. When he finally said something, he just said that’s how we do it. It might be personal preference but I would not go there for anything. They are obviously living off of Phils fish markets name! Been staying at the moss landing KOA off and on for years. This is the worst food from anywhere around here we have had ever!

Stopped here because we didn’t have time for the full Phil’s fish market experience. Expected good quick food but in a casual setting. Food was mediocre at best. Had barely edible snapper tacos, the fish pieces looked like scraps. The rest of my parties food was better but we ending up tossing half what was ordered.
I’m surprised the owners of Phil’s are associated with this spot. Bad food in a run down shack. Really curious is the other reviews are real… I will say the people working there were very nice.

It sits outside the KOA, and we ordered breakfast burritos on our way out. Big portion, to much for me to eat, and good flavor.

Love the sandwiches and the wonderful women who staff the front end of Phils! Patty melt 10/10 – thanks kitchen staff! And there is a sweet neighborhood cat.

First time here. Longtime fan of Phil’s that relocated to Watsonville. We’ll be back. 3 of us ordered the sand dab sandwich. Perfectly prepared. Light crispy coated fresh sand dab on toasted sourdough with shredded lettuce, tomato, thinly sliced red onion, pickles and mayo. Friendly staff and great prices. You won’t be disappointed.
