Lovely environment for dining, warm, comfortable and feels very authentic. We’ve eaten here a number of times, mostly midweek evenings so generally reasonably quiet and no difficulty getting a table. The menu is wide enough to suit all tastes and the food has been excellent every time we’ve visited. The staff are very helpful and professional. Prices are very reasonable too. Only real disappointment is a lack of draught beers! We will be back!

Disappointed went in with a friend for the all you can eat buffet on the Sunday. You order at the table, and they bring you the food. The chicken and sweetcorn soup tasted nice enough,but the chicken didn’t taste like chicken, and it had a bit of the fat/jelly to which I put to the oneside.
The chicken curry wasn’t the best taste either. The chicken again was a chewy texture. Then, when we wanted a dessert, we we’re told it wasn’t included in the price, which I’ve never had before at a chinese buffet it’s usually all included. And when they brought the dessert out, it was rock hard to begin with as they must keep them all ready made in a freezer.
The small glass of orange and lemonade was £3,00 and the total bill was over £60
I may have put up with the bill had the food been exceptional,but it wasn’t, so unfortunately, I’ll be giving this place a miss. It is in lovely surroundings and the staff are really friendly,but it’s the food I want to be tasty.

This is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants . The quality is exceptional and it is consistently excellent. The staff are welcoming and engaging. The food is always quick to arrive, no matter what you choose from their extensive menu. I can highly recommend.

The food is great, being Chinese were order from the secret all Chinese menu, it’s not offered to walk ins because of how spicy most of the dishes are, and some can be exotic, the owners from Dalian, one of the closest regions in China winters drop down to -15 to – 20, it’s right next to Russia, so the cuisine steers to heavy and spicy side. Not for all taste but his culinary skills are top notch. I visit weekly, and they always look after me, the waiter/manager Poon, he is great always gives good suggestions. Please visit. It is well worth it

I went prawn crackers over this place! The ambience ,the service, and the food…10 out of 10! Great value for money. I did use chopsticks, so i was in there quite a while.Will definitely return when I’m in Colchester again

Not a good experience at all. Been ordering from this establishment for years, only for one day my food to be incomplete. I then asked them to bring my food that was missing, which resulted in an argument. They said they had to check their cctv before giving me food. I then gave them the option of refunding me which they eventually did. I tried to order again today but was met with a “we can’t take your order or ever serve you again”. I’m extremely disappointed.
