Plenty of parking. Decor is very warm and inviting. Staff was amazing, food was so good. Fresh seasoned properly, our server was a delight. And the chocolate flan was to die for. A big plus is the seafood market, no more chain store seafood or fish and it’s so close you can make a purchase when the craving hits. The owner Rick was so very nice, made us feel welcome, had a great chat as it wasn’t too busy at that time. We look forward to going back.

This was an extremely disappointing experience. The calamari I ordered as an appetizer was overcooked and had a strong fish taste, indicating it was not fresh.
My entree baked scallops in a garlic sauce, broccoli, and mashed potatoes were served instead as French fries and dry over cooked scallops.
I advised the waitress if the entree error and was advised it was a ” new menu they didn’t realize the changes.” The waitress then proceeded to take the French fries and leave the overcooked dry scallops. I asked her to take all of it back and please bring the fresh items together.
By the time my ” new entree” was brought to me, my spouse had finished the entree of chicken nuggets and French fries.
My entree returned with the same cool,dry ,overdone scallops approximately 20 plus minutes after sending it back. We paid our bill, I ate one scallop and left the food.
I di not recommend this restaurant. The floor was filthy, and the atmosphere was of a McDonald’s.
If seafood is what you are seeking, there are several restaurants that can provide excellent quality, cooked to order seafood at a cost relative to what I paid at this restaurant, and left the food behind!!!

The food is delicious and fairly priced. The fish in the market area is very fresh and wonderful. My biggest concern is the full time up front employee/waitress cannot do the job.
Obviously inexperienced. This position is the face of the store and keeping her on the job may lead to its demise. I don’t want to see that happen.
The part time ladies on Fridays and I believe weekends are the best. My tendency is to only go to Moby Rick’s when they are there, otherwise I’d be at the restaurant more often.

After reading all these reviews I’m disappointed my husband and I did have the same experience. First off when we were seated in a corner and about 10 mins went by without a waitress coming to our table. Went up to the cashier and she apologized and took our order. She brought over 2 bottles of coke and we couldn’t open them because you need a bottle opener so we waited and the manager was passing by and saw we needed our bottles opened. Got our calamari appetizer and that was very good. We noticed the manager giving free samples of sarachia and shrimp and as he was going to every table he totally by passes us as if we were invisible. Thought that was kinda rude. Dinner comes and my husband’s seafood pasta dish was very sparse with seafood, wasn’t impressed about that. My fish and chips were good. All in all our experience wasn’t the best so probably won’t be returning.

Calamari appetizer was perfectly cooked and flavored. The haddock was moist & flaky, and the fried scallops were spot on. Rick was very informative on the menu and a friendly guy. You want a real treat, grab some smoked salmon on your way out! Our waitress (Christine) was also friendly. We’ll be back!

I really hate to give this review because the woman who waited on me was the sweetest kindest person. But I ordered a fisH roll and if I could take a picture of it I absolutely would it’s Nothing you would consider fish fry . The best way to describe it his A small perch fliet fried up and cut into thirds.. Super skinny nothing that I was expecting considering my mother worked at teds fish fry for 50 years….. They have a wonderful selection of frozen and fresh seafood though… I’m really disappointed that I have to leave this review considering that I talked to the woman and told her that I go by reviews and the last time I saw a reviews they were good for this place but they’re not anymore..

Just tried to go for dinner with friends to the Mechanicville location and it was closed. I called earlier in the day and was assured it was open until 7:30 pm today. No one could even make the effort of putting a sign on the door saying they were sorry they had to close early. They have lost my business. There was another couple also leaving.

Try it and you will love it! Get the Galley, the sauce is pure perfection. All the staff is lovely and the owner is usually there giving samples, you won’t be disappointed.
