This Japanese restaurant is tucked away in a small, hidden food court in downtown, making it a bit of a hidden gem for anyone craving a quick Japanese meal. The shop is run by Japanese staff, which gives it a nice touch of authenticity. The menu offers a wide range of classic Japanese dishes, including sushi rolls, bento boxes, donburi, and curry rice — perfect for both dine-in and takeaway.
I ordered the karaage on curry rice. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, nicely complemented by the rich, flavorful curry sauce. It also came with a marinated egg, which was surprisingly well done and added great texture and taste to the dish. The portion and price were both reasonable, especially considering its downtown location.
Overall, it’s a solid choice for a quick, satisfying Japanese bite — nothing fancy, but comforting and tasty. I’d happily come back again when I’m nearby and craving something warm and filling.

This is the best food court downtown with tons of great deals. This sushi place is the newest addition and they have a bunch of bento boxes. The karaage was good but I didn’t love the cold eggplant/zucchini and potato salad with it.
For the Aburi ebi, the taste was good but size is a bit small. And the side of karaage was 2 pieces.
The food court is only open weekdays until 4:30pm. No evenings or weekends!

The owner is really nice and she really cares about delivering authentic Japanese food. I had the Chicken Kaarage bowl and the flavour of the chicken was excellent. At $10 on Mondays and Thursdays it’s a steal.
She says she her curry takes 10 hours to make so I will be back for that!

I ordered a chicken karaage bento today at Ohashi, located in the International Food Fair in downtown Vancouver. It’s much better than the usual Japanese food that you get at local food courts. Everything tasted freshly made and it was delicious. The karaage especially was a stand out. I look forward to coming back and trying the onigiri next time!

The food was really yummy and filling, got a lot too for only 20 bucks, and the service and chef were AMAZING. Very professional, considerate and respectful people. The chef even went the extra mile to cook up extra veggies into the Japanese Curry for me. After I’ve complimented the service and food, the chef was so grateful and said something like “As long as we can make one heart happy, that is what matters most.” Angels!!❤️ Will swing by again and recommend to friends for sure!! New treasure discovered!

Considering that Japanese curry is just a diluted curry paste and it is just poured on white rice, my $15 meal was basically a highly processed junk food. Tasted good but I will have to go to a McDonald for a healtheir food next time.

Great sushi, great soy sauce, great ginger, great tempura, and some of the best sushi I had. The scrimp in the dynamite roll was still warm, like a mother’s embrace on Christmas Eve.
