The food was outstanding. Jimmy knows what he is doing with his barbecue and is a great pit boss. He was fun to chat with and the sauces were sweet and spicy. The ribs were melt in your mouth. Brisket had a nice pink smoke ring and was so tender. It is a little difficult to find but well worth the effort. We plan to eat there again and bring friends next time.

Reviewing before I’ve even left. The food is actually smoked and not liquid smoked, rendered the fat perfectly on the brisket, the ribs are JUICY, and they brought us a pitcher for the sweet tea. All of the sides are immaculate. I filled my stomach and took more home. Shout out to Pamela & Jimmy for the DELICIOUS FOOD

First time here, VERY good experience. The man was extremely accommodating, the place was neat and clean and the food was great with good size portions. The weather was terrible and I was surprised to even see a restaurant open, extremely glad they were!

Absolutely delicious! Got the Moo and Oink and potato salad. Sandwich was huge! The got a rack of ribs to bring home.

Yall, this place is the real deal. $9 for smoked chicken thigh + leg, red beans + rice, and turnip greens. Everything was AMAZING! You can spend that same amount on a sad burger from a fast food chain OR go get yourself some real food in a homey setting

Absolutely loved the food! Best BBQ I’ve had since moving to Kansas. Highly recommend the pulled pork, brisket, beans, corn bread, turnip greens… anything on the menu! We will be coming back for sure.

I came in towards the end of today but still the meat was fall off the moon for the ribs, the brisket was moist, and I got the green beans and the collard greens which were made to perfection in my opinion. Would definitely recommend this to anybody that is either coming through JC or station here at Fort Riley.

Wow! What a nice surprise! We had the platter and smoked chicken sandwiches. We also had the delicious southern green beans, potato salad, baked beans, Mac and cheese, sweet potato muffin, corn bread muffins, sweet potato pie and homemade sweet tea. So delicious -each and every bite!
