Staying in Montgomery and was craving Subway but unfortunately missed the closing time so stopped at American Deli. Food was amazing ! Got the Philly which was a pretty sized portion with chicken wings which were both delicious ! Food came quick and was hot ! Ambience isn’t the best with less seating area but it wasn’t too crowded as well so don’t have to worry if you want to sit down for a bite.

I love their fried rice. I just wish there was some consistency in cooking their food. Past 2 weeks, I ordered chicken fried rice twice. The rice was highly seasoned with lots of vegetables . Today, the food wasn’t the same. Onion larger than normal and crunchy as well as the vegetables. Not enough seasoning. Disappointed in the taste. I realized there maybe different cooks as well.

By FAR, the WORST take out I have ever gotten. Ordered the grilled chicken salad. I seriously couldn’t tell what the meat was. It was a brown, SUPER GREASY, gristley blob and chopped like a philly steak with small bone fragments in it. On top of it they put pickles in my salad. No where does it say pickles are a part of the salad. I took it back thinking I got the wrong order and they put philly steak on it not chicken. I also said no cucumbers but. of course those were in the salad. The 2nd one was just as bad if not worse than the first one. This time they also forgot to put green peppers and banana peppers on it & this one also had pickles in it. (Menu says tomato, onions, green peppers, cucumbers, and banana peppers.) Both ended in the trash as I was so grossed out by this meat that I would rather be hungry than eat this mystery meat. It was worse chicken than at the cheapest Chinese restaurant you’ve ever been too. I did order this salad one time before at the location on Eastern Blvd. and it was fine. The meat was a sliced chicken breast. The one on Vaughn & Taylor was DISGUSTING. I will NEVER go back.

Decent food. Absolutely miserable customer service. Young lady at the front counter more interested in playing on her cell phone then taking orders. I don’t think I’ve ever been treated more poorly in any restaurant in the city. Abysmal.

I hate to give a low overall review. The team preparing / cooking the food seem ambitious and the end product is always delicious. The young female individuals at the counter have their faces buried so deep in their phones. There was no acknowledgement when myself or other customers walked in. Even when ready to order, the customers had to prompt them. You would have thought you were pulling teeth just to get them to look away from their phones for an instant. It is a sad reality of modernity I am afraid. It takes little energy and costs nothing to be friendly. At the very least, do your job.
I will note that there were two people in the restaurant when I entered and only one additional behind me. In this case, lower staffing would be better than current staffing.
But for the cooks: keep up the great work!!

I rarely write a review, but this was my worst dining experience of the last decade. Food was awful. We went here on a recommendation while traveling through Montgomery and tried 5 dishes among us. They varied in quality from almost inedible to inedible. I don’t understand how people can eat this. Avoid at all costs.

It’s a reason their health score is in the 70s. Disgusting place. Got home and half my food was undercooked, wings were extremely pink. On top of that, the cashier charged me extra for all flats and they didn’t even give me all flats. She didn’t want to refund me either, she instead opted to make extra wings. Never again.
