As a wedding planner, I had a great experience working with Sweet Traditions on a wedding cake for one of my couples! Kaylyn did an excellent job walking our couple through the process of selecting flavors and choosing their cake design. She asked early on about any preferences on things, and when we sent her the inspiration image she did an amazing job creating something that fit their color palette and Winter Wonderland theme perfectly! The cake was both beautiful and delicious, and I can’t thank them enough for all of their work on this event!!

Sweet Traditions is a local bakery in the Wake Forest Crossing Shopping Center. It is in a strip of shops to the right of Lowe’s Grocery store.
They have a menu that changes weekly, offering a variety of cupcakes, cake slices, cookies, cookie dough, and other items. Some of the varieties, like vanilla chocolate, and wedding cake, are offered every week. German chocolate is my favorite so I keep watch to see when that is offered. But other offerings are creative like banana pudding, hot fudge sundae,
They offer gluten-free cupcakes as well.
Cinnamon rolls used to be a treat just on Saturdays, but are offered on Fridays now too. Around the holidays, you can pre-order pies, cakes and other specialized items.
They take orders for full cakes, wedding cakes, pies, cookies and cupcakes all year.
If you have a sweet tooth, this is a great option to try some treats.
The staff is always friendly and helpful. They even help take what you buy to your car if you get a lot of items at once.

It has been in my experience in the past, that when I get cupcakes, they are always dry.
My daughter took me to this shop yesterday and oh my goodness….Their cupcakes are sooooo good. We sat in the parking lot eating them bc we couldn’t just try a bite. I will definitely be going back. Looking forward to trying their other sweet treats.

Sweet Traditions is such a great bakery! The shop is clean, bright, and so welcoming the moment you walk in. Their cupcakes and baked goods are displayed beautifully, and everything is labeled really well, which makes choosing so easy. Sweet traditions did a phenomenal job with our wedding cake. They were super responsive during the ordering process. They communicated well when we dropped off flowers for the cake and decorated it beautifully. The cake itself was delicious and everything I hoped for. We went with chocolate with raspberry filling. Maybe I went in with my expectations too high. It was my wife’s birthday, she wasn’t feeling well, and we decided to pick up a fancy cupcake for us to share and I’d make her cake (like i usually do) when she is feeling better.
I was expecting a selection of oversized, fancy cupcakes. What I saw were normal sized cupcakes with different toppings. There were probably eight different types of cupcakes to choose from.
We got two cupcakes, a German Chocolate cupcake and Vanilla with Chocolate icing. The cupcakes were okay, not overwhelmingly good, and not bad. After eating them I thought I should have just bought a box mix and made the cupcakes myself.
