Smoked Out BBQ started out selling bbq sauces to friends and family. After one year of selling bbq sauces and building our customer base, we decided to open a mobile food truck in Aug 2015. After 2 and half years of hitting the streets, markets, concerts and catering venues, we decided to complete our dreams and open a restaurant. May 15th 2018 is when we made that dream a reality. We specialize in smoking all of our meats low and slow with Oak, Mesquite and Hickory wood.

The best brisket in California hands down. I think about this place at least once a month. They do have rare misses but a majority of the time it is heavenly (vs good). Pulled pork, chicken, and ribs are also some of the best I’ve had and are more consistent. Simple and plain interior and basic plating. The brisket will run out at a certain time daily. The coleslaw and bbq beans are my go to sides and the pickles are great
Busy but friendly service as well. Parking is in a business complex that is generally not empty but there is parking on the side columns

The food here far exceeded my expectations. Since it’s not located in a typical busy plaza, I initially underestimated this place—but it definitely rivals well-known BBQ chains. The grilled meat is exceptionally tender and juicy, with rich marbling that stays beautifully within the meat. The outside has a perfect crisp while the inside remains soft and flavorful. The interior of the restaurant is modest and not very spacious, but it’s always bustling with customers. If you come late, you might have trouble finding a seat. There’s also a steady stream of takeout and delivery orders, which speaks to the restaurant’s popularity.

Sooo good!!! Location definitely through me off at first, I was a bit hesitant. So glad we gave it a shot. We had the Tri-tip Sandwhich, brisket sandwhich, tator tots, potato salad,Mac n cheese, dirty rice, chili beans. All of it was delicious! House made pickles and bbq sauces were amazing as well. Will be back!

Ribs, hot links, and pulled pork were crazy good. Get there early, I arrived around 1:30pm on Friday and they were sold out of brisket and tips. Will definitely be back to try them out.

4.6/5 for the brisket and pork ribs. I think it’s one of the best bbq places in the bay. The garlic corn bread was also so good. Also friendly staff.

Best BBQ I’ve ever had and I’ve tried a bunch. Hot links and ribs are perfection, potato salad is on point and I’m picky about potato salad. I won’t go anywhere else for my BBQ fix. Update 2/7- my $28 pastrami sandwich that was supposed to include coleslaw and tater tots but only included coleslaw. I didn’t know this until I was too far away to turn back. I’ll give them a pass on this one because the guy actually had forgotten my coleslaw but ran it out to me before I got to my vehicle. Sandwich was delicious though

First time we went they ran out of brisket so got chicken and sides instead.
Chicken – 5/5 tender, not dry at all and good flavor
Mac and cheese – 4/5 not a lot of flavor but still good
Chili – 3/5 flavor is good just too oily
Second time we went, we got brisket…
Brisket – 0/5 so hard, too salty just like beef jerky, hardly any fat in it
We figured it was maybe a bad batch so we went today to try it again and same thing. Really wanted to like it, but just couldn’t.
Service is nice and the place is well maintained. Bathroom is clean too.

Honestly one of the best BBQ spots I’ve been to in the bay area.
Really out of the way and basically no seating with short hours. But it’s still a fantastic spot.
Chili is great, hot links too, the tri tip and brisket are solid as well.
All at quite a fair price point, would recommend.

Hidden gem has a small space for dine in and a lot of take out demand. BBQ is superb with a choice of sauces on the side. Brisket is soft and moist, Pulled pork full of flavors. White beans are a good side dish in combo plate ($22), and they give you large servings

Went on a little detour to pick up some bbq for team lunch.. gotta say it was pretty worth it! First impression is.. the location sucks for parking. It’s in this little complex surrounded by these companies so parking can be a pain. Parking aside.. this location is truly a hole in the wall spot! The vibe given by the employee is refreshing.. they’re definitely passionate about their job. I ordered a variety of items… tri tip sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, brisket and hot link, tater tots (favorite side!), mac and cheese… well you get it haha. Last note.. they’re really generous with their sauce.. I only asked for one of each and they made sure I left with more than I can even eat. They do make their own sauce so come give it a try!
