A passable Chicago-style hot dog. I occasionally pass through Brodhead and always wanted to give this place a try. As a Chicago dog aficionado, I wanted to see what they had to offer. The place is a simple drive-through or walk-up order only. Prices were reasonable. The food was decent, but lacked a few critical details. The beef hot dog was decent and had all the right toppings. The weak point was the bun. It was a nice, fresh potato bun, not the poppy seed bun you’d expect. The biggest issue is the bun was simply served at room temperature which really kept the whole thing from coming together. All in all a decent dog, but not worth going out of your way for.

We ordered the lucky matcha drink and were given this mint frappe drink. It had Andy’s mints blended up and was not a matcha. We decided to turn around and politely ask for the drink we ordered as this was our first time here and we had heard good things. We went back and were rudely told “We were given the correct drink” and were argued with. She was immediately rude from the beginning when we were just politely asking. Then she said she could “make that for us if that’s what we wanted” while continuing to say we were wrong and that wasn’t on the menu even though we asked for the exact same thing the second time. “An iced matcha with toasted marshmallows and lucky charms on top”. If that wasn’t the right thing then change what is posted, or don’t act rude to customers if they are confused with what they got.

I went through to get a muffin. They used to be very good and fresh @1.99. Today the price went up to 4.22 plus tax. The muffin was served in a bag cold out of a fridge and no napkin. Definitely not fresh. Dry and way over cooked. My muffin was supposed to be cranberry orange. Not one bit of berry or orange. Just dry and bland flavor. I hope they do some improvement. The service was fine. Very friendly.The building and grounds were nice. But I won’t be back.

As we were driving through the area, my husband & I decided to give this little shop a try. We spoke with the lady & placed our order. She told us our total was over $18 for 2 specialty coffees!! As I looked toward the sign & her, I said “We only ordered 2 coffees & the sign says $6.25 each?” That’s when she told me she had to increase her prices. We were in line with cars behind us & not wanting to be rude, I paid it hoping for the best coffees we’d ever had. Nope! $18 worth of crappy coffees! Weird taste, no outstanding flavors that were listed in the descriptions! And to top it off, the size was comparable to a medium at any other coffee shop. This place upped their prices & figured customers would pay it since they were literally in their car, with a line behind them, checking out when told the outrageous prices. I should have just said no & drove away! Fix your flipping sign to reflect the real prices! For $18 I could have gotten 3 Trenta size drinks at Starbucks that would have tasted delicious! This place is a definitive NO!!!

They say it is always about the people…and this place proves the rule. The service is outstanding, the coffee excellent, and the food menu eclectic enough for any taste. And, while it would be unfair to say it is seemingly in the middle of nowhere…I would rather say that it is a gem in the broad, open land of God’s country Wisconsin.

I’d love to try your place more, but I’ve only been able to have it once because I don’t have 45 minutes to sit and wait for a drink every time I stop there. This is the THIRD time I’ve gotten in line and had to pull out because of how long it takes to move things along there.

Great location! The workers here are always very nice and polite. They have a lot of different things on the menu not just coffees and muffins. Everything looks really clean and the service is fast and affordable. I highly recommend the Oreo frappe it’s very good!

Had good experience in the past. However things have changed. Stopped Sunday for a Chicago dog. Took 15 minutes with no one else in line. There was catsup which there shouldn’t have been. There was no poppy seed bun and no celery salt. This was not a Chicago dog. will not stop again.

Good coffee which was a perfect pick me up amidst the music festival I was attending just down the road. I took off one star because it took a very long time for the two cars in front of me to get through the line and because there is no good description of different flavors on the menu. I guess I could just assume they have everything?
