Thai Arts: Discover Authentic Thai Cuisine in Bridgnorth

Starters that set the tone
You can’t walk into a Thai restaurant and skip starters this time the pork and prawn dumplings stole the show. Fresh, generously filled, and paired with a dipping sauce that actually adds something rather than just sitting there looking pretty.
The duck spring rolls followed, bringing all the flavours of crispy duck pancakes without the faff of assembling them. Crunchy, savoury, and very easy to demolish.
Mains that hit the comfort spot
• Sea Bass Yellow Curry A generous amount of fish, beautifully cooked, swimming in a creamy, mellow curry. Mild, but still full of flavour and perfect with rice.
• Beef Massaman Our benchmark dish for any Thai restaurant Rich, indulgent, coconutty goodness. We’d have happily taken a little more beef… but honestly, when wouldn’t we?
• Pad Thai & Jasmine Rice The essential sidekicks. The Pad Thai brought that sweet‑savory balance, and the jasmine rice did exactly what it needed to do: mop up every last drop of curry.
Set in one of our favourite Shropshire market towns, Thai Arts holds its own among plenty of tempting spots. It’s warm, welcoming, and serves up authentic Thai flavours at reassuringly reasonable prices the kind of place you recommend to friends without hesitation.
As soon as we got there we asked for a table for 3 and they pushed two together and we were seated almost immediately.
We had the two course lunch menu each for £11.99 and it was a great deal. The portion sizes were massive as you can see from the pictures.
I had prawn toast and chow mein and loved it and couldn’t finish it all. My mom had skewers and a curry which were nice. My dad had ribs and black bean sauce main. All were so tasty.
It was surprisingly busy for a Thursday afternoon with a very big party on the next table. The place was full downstairs. Not sure if you could sit upstairs. I presume so though.
The staff were all so nice as well. Would definitely come back here. Good selection of drinks too including Thai whiskey, which will have to try next time. The Zinfandel wine was lovely that I had.
Firstly we arrived without a reservation and they were very accommodating to fit us in. Do ensure you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
The tom yum soup was a good sized portion and good blend. There was not a great deal of chicken however and what was given was a huge piece which was difficult to handle with a spoon. I am informed that the Tom Kha was a little sweet.
For the mains, i had Thai chichen, basil. They serve the main components of the meal in a bowl separately to the rice. Key issue is that the first ingredient were long onions. Not alot of chicken or other edible ingredients – I didn’t order Onion Basil Rice.
Other point to note is the gents toilet needs a clean, dusting, hoover and seat cleaning.
I would visit again but likely choose different dishes and stress no onions.
Even though it was an evening sitting, our children were made to feel very welcome. Looking forward to our next visit!
