The waiter was a bit baffled we didn’t order the famous dumplings, but this was our second visit (first time was Downtown) so we wanted to try new dishes (Sweet & Sour Cucumber, Kale Salad) and enjoy known favorites (Green Onion Pancake, Pan Fried Pork Buns and Steamed Chicken Dumplings).
Relaxing location right next to the BG trai; excellent service.
The High Tail Shrimp & Pork Steamed Dumplings are pretty good, but I’d like them better if the shrimp tail shells were removed so I could eat them in one bite.
The beef noodles are okay, but not a must.
Didn’t really like the taste of the Chicken & Vegetable Wontons in Chicken Soup, though the wontons themselves were fine.
Loved the cucumber appetizer—simple and refreshing.
Service was good, order was taken quickly as there’s a menu you tick off what you want. Food portions were on the smaller size but considering price it’s average.
Surprising the star of the show were the pan fried chicken dumplings!! Normally they’re dry but these one were nice and juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Would definitely come back for these!
Quality: We LOVE Dough Zone! Like you see in the picture, the two of us ordered so much food! The kale salad is the best I have ever had, the sweet and sour flavors helps to cover the bitterness of the kale and the texture of the kale is everything! A very refreshing appetizer. And the dan dan noodle is always phenomenal! It was cooked to perfection. Very tender and flavorful.
Appearance: All the food looks great! The potstickers are looking like a beautiful art to me!
Portion size: Well, I always think that the portion could always be bigger! It would be more satisfying for the customers especially when they are hungry.
Service : 8/10
Friendliness: Service is solid! The servers that served us are all very nice and friendly! Even thought we came there late and they are ready to close, they took us and still gave us great service!
Timeliness: Food arrived quite fast, we did not wait for too long and it came to us in nice and warm temperature.
Environment: Very clean and nice, The lighting is perfect and I loved how everything looks, very simple yet modern.
Location: Great location! Right next to U-village and underneat the apartment complex. It might be difficult to find parkings because the residents took all of the street parkings available. But it wasn’t too far if you parked at U-village and walked to Dough Zone!
They no longer bring out fresh ginger with your dumplings — you have to ask for it, and even then, it’s not fresh. My longtime favorite, the chili pork wontons, has lost all its flavor and tastes completely different from before. They’ve even removed the refreshing iced jasmine tea from the menu.
To top it off, our server forgot about our table, and we had to flag them down multiple times just to place our order. Really disappointing experience from a restaurant I used to rave about.
I got a takeout and it came in a very nice bag as seen in the pics and it took maybe 20 minutes? But the restaurant wasn’t busy at the time. The only complaint I have is that the portions are sooooo small for the price. Especially the dan dan noodles which are $8 but I finished it in like 3 bites. Good meal for $15 but not very filling.
It’s quite small place with not many tables available but if you like dumplings then you’d like it. We had 4 different dishes that came in relatively small portions. I’m quite disappointed that the beef buns’ beef wasn’t tasted like beef and not tender. Other dishes were just okay. I wouldn’t come back again as I can cook way better dumplings at home.

After being seated, my dining partner thought it’s too loud to have the convo she wanted to.
The food was decent, with the XLB being the best of the four items we ordered.
