The Independent pizzeria in Madison Park is great! We placed our order around 4:45 with a pick up time at 7:15. So if you want to eat some pizza here, you need to order early because there’s a long wait and they sell out quickly. We picked it up and it’s in a great location in Madison Lake. They have some seating outside, which is nice although the inside is a little crowded and messy. The staff is nice and friendly and the pizza is great. We ordered the cheese pizza with basil and that one could’ve used a little extra flavor as it was a bit bland. The pepperoni pizza was delicious! Overall, this is a great pizza place in a great location.

best in seattle imo for wtvr type of pizza this is, might not know the style name but i have eaten more pizza across the usa than most

the crust and undercarriage is perfect, the suave to cheese is perfect, and finally the toppings are LOADED and the choice of toppping combinations are amazing

great for vegetarians

lwk dehydrates you so protip is order ahead and drink hella water 2 hrs before, after eating pizza try to eat some cucumbers to rehydrate and then drink hella water after another 1 hr

tldr if u want pizza and can make it out here and havent gone yet, what are you doing? it is take out only so plan accordingly tho lol

Solid pizza spot, especially for Seattle. They do Neapolitan style and have a unique variety of flavors. I really like their New Haven pizza. I gave it four stars because sometimes the bottom of the pizza is more than crispy but burnt.

However ordering is a pain because you have to reserve pizzas the previous day or as soon as they open and come at pickup time.

Also there is no seating at all so this is basically only a warm weather spot so you can eat your pizza at nearby Madison park.

I recently discovered The Independent Pizzeria in Madison Park and was pleasantly surprised by this little gem. Their pizzas are big on flavor and quality.

A Quick Tip: Order Ahead!

Keep in mind that they only make pizzas until they run out, so it’s best to order ahead. I placed my order around 4:30 PM and picked it up at 6:30 PM, and it was well worth the wait.

Exceptional Service and Delicious Pizza:

The customer service was top-notch. My son and I were greeted warmly upon arrival and the pizza was hot and fresh, straight out of the oven. The tomato sauce was flavorful and had a fresh tomato taste, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the pepperoni was some of the best I’ve had in a very long time. I especially enjoyed the unique sausage, which was sliced like pepperoni and had a great flavor. While the crust was a bit soft on the bottom, it was still delicious and I’d only take off a half-star for that as the outside crust was cooked perfectly.

Overall, I would highly recommend The Independent Pizzeria for a delicious and satisfying pizza experience. With its friendly service, quality ingredients, and flavorful pizzas, it’s definitely worth a visit.

Enjoyed Tuscany pizza with occasional seasonal variations. I remember TIP offering a ramps-topped pizza, which was harvested from my birthplace, West Virginia. Hopefully, the Ramps were ethically-sourced and not unrooted by their entire root bulb from the ground.

Great place! The dough is chewy and crisp on the outside. The toppings on the four pies I’ve had have been great. To top it off, the prices are pretty good for Seattle! So may find the charring a little much.

We have been eating here for over a decade, back when you could dine in the cozy space. The pizzas are always on point and rank among the best Neapolitan-style pies we’ve had anywhere. Post-covid they transitioned to take-out only, but there are a few tables outside. Place your order in advance online and hang out at the beach. Put on a shirt, walk across the street and pick it up. Incredible. Pricing is great, too. Seattle food is generally mid and overpriced and so it’s amazing to see places like the Indie still going strong. Big love.

This place certainly lived up to the expectations and other reviews.

Delicious wood fired crusts and wonderful toppings. A little on the greasy side for a traditional Neapolitan but that didn’t detract from the experience or flavor at all. In fact, I’m determined to go back and get some with meat as I’m sure it’d be wonderful.

Enjoyed the location as well! Perfect to order up and then walk over and enjoy the water.

It’s a jewel here in Seattle! Great staffs work here. Their Margherita is one of the best I’ve ever had (including the places we tried in Italy!) I’d come here at least once a week if this place was in Vancouver.
