brilliant. never had zeppole before but it was a great balance of doughy and crispy. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet, the dousing of powdered sugar not too thick and the texture fairly homogenous, which is a nice moderation after a big meal. salad had a great variety of vegetables and honestly I’d come here just for that. but my favorite part was the pizza. I got mushroom and black olive thin crust pizza. the sauce was lovely, smelled great too. they actually put the mushroom under the cheese, like civilized people, and not on top like the chains do. that way the mushroom juices actually absorb into the sauce and cheese, harmonizing the flavor compounds, instead of evaporating and feeling separated. why order mushroom if you do not love it enough to embrace its essense in abundance? why bother if only to just barely keep grasp on its form as a skeleton? service was great, appropriately timed and nice people.

Has the dough for the thin crust changed? I got a 16″ well done and the crust is more like a robust yet crumbly graham cracker than the rosati’s crust I’m used to. Is this a permanent change? If so, change it back!! Boo!!!

Absolutely Disgusted with Rosati’s of Glenview – Horrible Customer Service
We had a terrible experience with Rosati’s of Glenview and will never be ordering from them again. We ordered a plain cheese deepdish pizza—simple, right? Instead, we received a pizza with sausage on it. This isn’t just a careless mistake—it’s unacceptable, especially because we’re vegetarians. Eating meat is something we actively avoid for personal, ethical, and health reasons.
When we called to let them know about the error, we were hoping for a quick apology and some accountability. Instead, we were met with rudeness and accusations. The person on the phone basically called us liars, insisting we were making it up—despite us literally holding the pizza and pointing at the sausage. We even offered to show them proof.
The complete lack of empathy, professionalism, and basic customer service is beyond frustrating. Mistakes happen—but doubling down and blaming the customer instead of taking responsibility? That’s what made this experience absolutely infuriating.
Rosati’s of Glenview, do better. Your customer service is an embarrassment.
