Saturday lunch to try Strong’s for the first time. Was not crowded, but most booths had patrons in them. We picked a table and had the mozzarella sticks and a large meat pizza. We enjoyed it all. The crust is cooked well – crispy but a soft center. And no shortage of meats on top! The restaurant interior is nicely updated from its prior life, for a modern feel. Service was excellent. Bravo!

This was my first visit to Strong’s but it will definitely not be my last! Met up with a friend to dine in for lunch. This is where a previous restaurant (Kenning’s Circle K) existed, and wow the interior is completely different! Very open, very bright, big change from the cramped and dark vibes it had previously. The big brick oven is on display to see as well. Great atmosphere overall.

On to the food, we shared the mozzarella sticks appetizer and they had a good flavor and cook on them! But the real star is the pizza. I had a pizza half Quattro Formaggi and half their specialty pizza, the Elliott. I was excited to be able to try both even though they had different sauce bases. Loved both, but especially the quattro! This is NOT your average cheese pizza, the flavor was out of this world, and if you love ricotta you’re definitely going to love this.

On top of that, the staff was incredible, everyone seemed to be pitching in to help, if someone walking by noticed a drink getting low they refilled it even though they weren’t our primary server. Everyone was super friendly to speak to and seemed happy to be there.

So glad to have such a gem added to the West Side and can’t wait to go back!

Strong’s has not only made its way into our regular pizza night rotation, but also a go-to for an occasional happy hour. The pizzas are fantastic. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Sometimes we’ll just go to the bar in the back for a cocktail and an appetizer. The staff is really friendly, and they make a good (and strong) old fashioned. The bourbon flight deal is a steal and they have a surprisingly good selection for a pizza joint. Excellent pizza, good drinks and good staff. If I have any minor complaint it’s that the dining room can get loud, but that’s not their fault. We’re becoming regulars and have had nothing but good experiences so far.

I honestly wasn’t so sure about this place when the reviews were only 4.4 stars, BUT I am glad I gave it a shot, I couldn’t be happier!
We are a family of two adults and two toddlers, we set in the dining area, the atmosphere was nice, our waitress was so kind she made sure we are happy with our order, the PIZZA was excellent, the crust by itself is amazing and perfectly cooked, the flavors were rich.
I am someone who visited the entire world and I am telling you that this place offers the BEST pizza in the whole US, the prices are very reasonable. I don’t understand why ppl are complaining about the sound here, it’s a BAR/RESTAURANT what are you expecting!!!
I highly recommend it, and definitely going back.

What an absolutely awful experience. We went for something to eat after a funeral and I, who had not eaten since breakfast, was very much looking forward to some food.. we sat in the bar area because I like the high tables. The bartender took at least 15 minutes to even ask us for a drink and we also wanted to order an appetizer at the time but she very quickly exited our table and we were unable to tell her that. The people who sat behind us sat quite a bit after us and were served rather quickly. When the bartender made it back to our table to get our order we ordered our appetizer and our food at the same time because we were unsure of when she would come back. We ordered the spinach dip my boyfriend ordered an Italian sub sandwich that was toasted with a Caesar salad and I ordered the polpetta insalata. After some time she brought the Caesar salad and the spinach dip. As soon as I put the spoon in the spinach dip to put it on my crostini I realized it was as runny as thin soup. When she returned with my boyfriend’s sandwich I asked her to please take the spinach dip off of our bill because I couldn’t eat it and she immediately said”is it like water?”I felt she already knew.. I never told her why but I confirmed “yes” whan you asked..My boyfriend had finished eating and she came to the table to ask how everything was and I informed her that I did not get my salad. I would have informed her sooner but we could not get her attention and she did not come back to the table after dropping off his sandwich till he was finished. She offered to have a salad put in a box for me to take home but I told her if I am going to go home to eat it I’m going to eat what I have at home for free and to please remove that from my check( the point of eating out was for my boyfriend and I to eat together).. she brought the check and the salad was still on it which she did correct. Needless to say it was very late by the time I got home and was able to eat. Based on this experience I really am unsure that I want to return. Not one other person in that whole area had trouble getting their food or getting service in a timely manner. My boyfriend and I are very good customers in that we are pretty laid back and are understanding that sometimes things happen but this just seemed to be out of the ordinary ridiculous.

Jada greeted us with the biggest smile today. She helped with my boyfriends decision on food. Service means everything to us and the food was
amazing. If every server could be like Jada. Great First experience. I’m not a friend or being paid by Jada She was perfect!

Carry out was a 45min wait for a large pizza, got there at 45.. was told to wait a little bit longer for 20min where they realized it was in the food warmer the entire time. Waiting over an hour for a barley warm pizza is crazy.

The pizza at Strongs is incredible. The service is lacking. Our server was hard to locate, luckily another server stepped in to help. The restrooms are gender neutral and VERY UNSANITARY. They really need to clean them every hour. Urine all over the floor and restroom. Unacceptable.

My husband and I stopped at Strong’s on a Friday night recently. We arrived close to 4:30 and the restaurant area was full. We were given a seat at a table in the bar which seemed nice and cozy. Our server, one of the bartenders Sarah, came over promptly and asked if we would like a drink and for our orders. I ordered the house bloody Mary and it was good but I asked for a little spicy and I really did not get much of that. For an appetizer we ordered the antipasto salad and it was huge! Definitely big enough for the two of us to share and easily could have been our entire meal. It was served with a side of Italian dressing for us to add as desired and was very tasty. We wanted to try a few different pizzas as it was our first time here so we ordered a large half Mad dog and half Maddie’s Mediterranean. I liked the Mediterranean as it was a white pizza with sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes and feta. It was a little salty because of the feta cheese but I liked the flavor. My husband was not impressed, and felt that it needed garlic which would have been a great addition. The Mad dog is a spin on a buffalo chicken wing. It had a creamy buffalo style red sauce with shredded chicken ,a drizzle of hot sauce and mozzarella cheese. I especially enjoyed the dollops of fresh ricotta on top of the mad dog Pizza. The crust on both pizzas was very good and obviously done in their huge oven in the middle of the dining room. The bar area is small and we are a little disappointed that they are not open later for any kind of happy hour or socializing as we live within walking distance. Apparently there will not be any spots in the bar for a while as their parking lot has been packed ever since they opened. We might give it a second try but maybe after business settles down a bit. One other negative was that there is a definite lack of soundproofing in the bar area. We were against a back wall and there was a woman at a table facing us who was very loud and her voice was piercing and made our dinner time less enjoyable.

My husband and I had lunch there today. The first time eating there. Aiden, our server, was very sweet. He previously worked at the Kentucky location so he’s very knowledgeable about the restaurant and all the offerings. We had a large pizza. The pizza crust was light and crispy, but toward the edge, (only) one piece was somewhat doughy. All the ingredients were super fresh and had a VERY generous amount of pepperoni and cheese, with thick chunks of Italian sausage. We don’t drink but they do offer cocktails, beer and wine. In addition to pizza, they also have chicken wings, which are supposed to be quite good. We recommend this non-chain restaurant.
