Friday night in the winter and did not need reservations. Started off with the walleye bites. The walleye was perfectly done but the breading needs major taste improvement. Both southern inspired dishes are recommend. Overall, good place.

Thai chicken wraps and Alfredo with Beef Fillet, both were 4/5 stars in my opinion. I’m not sure why cheap onion rings would be placed on a steak with pasta, kinda ruined it for me. The food did come out quick however, the servers were not very attentive and didn’t ask how the meal was. My fiancé’s meal also came out almost 10 mins after mine. Food isn’t bad, not a bad spot to stop for a bite but that’s all for me. Curious to try a few other items on the large menu if I return.

My wife and I love going to Mallards! We have tried so many different items on the menu and there hasn’t been one that disappoints yet.
The atmosphere is relaxing and laid back. You don’t feel rushed to eat, leave and pay.
We have always had top of the line customer service here. The manager Zach is very personable and friendly. He greets us each time we come in and always checks up on us while we are there.
I highly suggest this place for anyone looking for great tasting, flavour full food that also gives great service!

Great food but the service needs work.
My wife and I went to Mallards after I found a groupon for a four course meal. The food was wonderful! Out meal included crab cakes, lobster bisque, steak and lobster and finally desert. Besides for the steak being charred and well past medium rare the food was great. The lobster bisque was fantastic.
The service on the other hand wasn’t great. The bartender and waitress never introduced themselves, said hello or even smiled. The bar tender took my wife’s order then walked away without even looking at me. The waitress was equally unfriendly. She would drop off food without even looking at us.
In my opinion, ever guest that walks through the door desire better!!

Went here with a friend for dinner. Open table had great reviews so we decided to give it a shot. Waitress was very friendly. We waited several minutes when we came in to be addressed by the hostess, despite the fact that there was an employee sitting at the bar, talking to the bartender. Got a nice seat by the window, and they have half price bottles of wine on Mondays and Tuesdays.
We both ordered steaks, one with shrimp and one without. Everything was very much overcooked. I ordered my steak medium rare, it was medium well at best. My friend ordered theirs medium, and it was well beyond well done. The Cajun corn had good flavor but was dry, and the shrimp scampi was tasty, but again, dry. Overall it was a nice setting on the water, the server was friendly, and they offer nice daily specials, but the quality of the food was mediocre and did not meet my expectations for what was a relatively pricey meal.

Really great food. No entrees at lunchtime, so you’re a bit limited on the menu. But whatever you order is fantastic. Their deep fried cod is the crunchest, flakiest, BEST I’ve ever had and I lived along both the Gulf and ocean for years so that is saying a lot. Great views. Quiet. Comfortable. Nice waiter who was quick with service and drink refills without us having to ask.
The one issue was that a salad we ordered was supposed to have lump crab on it and there was absolutely none. When we told the waiter he didn’t seem to care at all. He said he would let the kitchen staff know, but then he just handed us the bill. Overall, love the food and definitely going again.

Service was friendly, but attentiveness was tepid. Food prices were pretty steep, but the service, atmosphere, and food quality did not match the cost. Not once were we offered or asked if we’d like beverage refills (not something a guest wants to always be nagging a server for, especially when the place isn’t at all busy), the ceiling was filthy with dust and cobwebs by the vents, and my cannelloni came out lukewarm. There were also employees working in athletic shorts, hoodies, and using phones in front of guests. The meal’s flavor was overall pretty good, but for the prices the menu commanded and for claiming to be the “best seafood” in the area, I would have expected a little closer attention to detail all around at a place like that.
