We visited La Piazzetta in Altos de Chavón, Casa de Campo (La Romana) during our stay last August, and it was a lovely experience. The restaurant is located in a beautiful square that feels like a small Mediterranean village, with stunning views and a very charming atmosphere.
The food was excellent — fresh, flavourful, and well presented. There are many good options on the menu, and everything we ordered was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive, and the staff made us feel very welcome.
It’s a perfect place for a relaxed dinner in the evening, especially with the beautiful surroundings and peaceful ambience.
I would definitely recommend La Piazzetta if you are visiting Casa de Campo or Altos de Chavón. A great place to enjoy good food and a special atmosphere.

Amazing Italian restaurant near Casa de Campo. We ate outside on the verandah, beautiful view of the river just steps away. Twinkle lights all around set a magical mood. Food was outstanding!

Excellent dinner. The must go resturant in Casa de Campo. Make reservations in advance before you even get to Casa de Campo. Minestrone & Lasagna are a must. Go early to walk the area and explore. Very beautiful and you will feel like you have walked back in time.

This is a restaurant that has elevated service above the level of most restaurants and takes caring for its patrons seriously. The staff is terrific and seems to notice every detail such as if a piece of flatware is absent from the next course. Job well done! Carpaccio (beef) was particularly excellent.

Great dinner all around. The staff was incredible. I enjoyed most of the dishes. It’s definitely worth a visit when in Casa De Campo. Not sure about the dress code for guys – I heard long pants were required, but I saw guests in shorts. Not a problem, but I would have worn shorts.

We had a not so good experience for a party a few days ago but decided to give it another chance and so happy we did. The food was delicious and fresh and the service was very good. The music really adds to the ambiance.

Very nice place to eat. My second best choice for the all inclusive restaurants offered by Casa de Campo’s resort package. La Casita is number one. The ribeye was by far the best meal based on our group of nine people. Other plates were good also. Service was very slow with drink refills. The coffee was very late arriving for dessert, we had to take it to go.

Gorgeous setting in Alto de Chavon. This was my favourite place. Food was excellent and on point for traditional Italian. Wine list is extensive, but the per glass options are very good. Very busy, recommend booking ahead. Staff eager to please and are so good at preempting your needs

Spaghetti very nice, but the zucchini cream, orzo and shellfish appetiser was unreal.
Just be aware that the cocktails here and in Casa de Campo as a whole, are super strong and rarely measured, meaning they can knock your socks off sometimes ! We had Lemoncillo Spritz and Frangelico Mojito.
