Been here a couple times already. Very smooth and tasty curry. I got the menchi katsu curry this time and the meat was a bit too chewy and they could make it a little flatter. Corn soup was good. The salad was good too, but oversaturated with the dressing. Should put less since it is pretty tangy. Not busy on a mid week lunch. Some parking spaces open. This plaza gets filled up quick.

Midoh is one of those spots that instantly feels like comfort food done right. If you’re craving Japanese homestyle cooking—the kind that’s warm, hearty, and hits you with that “ahhh, this is exactly what I needed” feeling—this place delivers every time.

We went on a Friday afternoon for lunch, it was not too busy.
We ordered the tempura udon and the pork cutlet, both were delicious. We ended with the matcha bouchee, the soft cookie cream sandwich and that was unique and really good as well. Will have to come back to try more dishes!

This place is always busy, we finally made a visit for lunch, the meal is really enough for a female, we ordered a pasta, two fried items(port chop and oyster) with a Japanese curry rice. Both meals with a soup and a small salad (two choices of soups- cream corn soup and miso tofu soup). I felt this place can let me have a great katsu (I don’t need to go Little Tokyo ) And the next-door Melo Melo is really a plus to me for a healthy dessert !

My family and I were in the area for a company event and decided to find a good spot for a late lunch. We came across Midoh, and with great reviews, we gave it a try. I ordered the pork loin mild curry with egg, along with the beef tongue. The experience was fantastic! The corn soup to start was incredibly smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. The curry was flavorful, with an authentic taste that stood out—no hint of artificial flavors. The pork loin was a perfect combination of lean and fat, with a light, crispy breading that wasn’t too thick. Overall, it was an excellent meal, and we’ll definitely be back!

Haven’t visited midoh in years decided to try again.
Service was mediocre 3/5 I went during afternoon when it wasn’t busy
Restaurant is outdated and old looking 1/5
Food was biggest disappointment
Salad dressing was made overly salty
Same with the miso soup
Corn soup taste more like heavy cream than corn
The rice and sauce that came with the katsu was inadequate for $20 they could have at least given a bit more rice
Sadly for the food quality and taste it’s not worth trying again 1/5

I have always loved Midoh because of its variety. I love Japanese food, especially their salad and corn soup. I highly recommend the seafood doria and chicken nan ban. The chicken nan ban is fried chicken with juices topped with tar tar sauce and has a potato salad on the side with sweet vinegar sauce, I believe. I ordered omurice, but I prefer my friend’s order because the curry rice was way too salty for my palate.

The service was quick and the food was flavorful!
The tongue steak was absolutely tender and delicious. The service was friendly and the food came out quickly.
The Katsu hit the spot, like comfort food should.
I totally recommend getting a bite to eat here!

I really enjoyed their tonkatsu! The tonkatsu shrimp and mackerel were delicious! Curry rice was creamy and rich. The matcha tiramisu was yummy. What stood out to me the most was that Spirited Away’s DVD was playing on the TVs !!

Ordered the hamburg steak with corn soup, omurice with corn soup, and a scoop of potato salad.
Pros:
– You get so much food for the price you pay
– Great service despite being busy
– The shrimp tempura is massive (lots of meat and not just breading)
– Salad dressing is delicious
Con:
– They use Styrofoam for their takeaway boxes
