Delicious! I’ve been meaning to try this place since I saw it on IG. It lived up to the hype. Everything was made fresh to order. The agua Fresca was great also. 10/10

One of the best margaritas I’ve had! Vegan options were really good, and the owner was really great to talk to — he’s clearly very passionate!

This is incredible food. Carlo makes absolutely every single thing from scratch, and not only is every dish fantastic, every *bite* is fantastic. It’s the kind of food you want to savor; the level of skill that goes into it jumps off the plate. I eat here as often as I can, and every single time I’ve been impressed.

really great spot! i loved how fresh the food tasted and it was clearly made with care. the menu has tons of variety and portions were solid. the barbie bowl was delicious and dare i say the tres leches was the best i’ve ever had—not soggy, not dry, not too sweet, not bland. perfect. never change it. the restaurant was very clean with cool decor, music, and overall a great vibe. will be back

The place was little, well decorated, and the food was prepared fresh and sooooo good. I got the Standard and the chicken was prepared perfectly. It was very flavorful. The mixed drink I got was great too! Highly recommend. I even bought some of their house hot sauce to go.

I have been twice, both times my food was cold. Both times the owner was less than pleasant. I have only had the captain jack. The flavor is mild but nice. I wish I carried more punch.

Edit: the onion rings on top are hard taste a tad bit stale and are cold.

I have no problem with the automatic gratuity of 16% but I want hot food and someone who is nice to me.

This one bowl cost $19.84, $16 bowl plus tax and automatic gratuity.

The owner welcomes you into Toro with a smile. If you’ve been there more than twice, chances are he will remember your name. The first thing I noticed, after the warm greeting, is how unbelievably clean the store is.

The menu has many choices— options for the vegan, carnivore, or pescatarian. Everything is made fresh and can be as a burrito, bowl, or salad.

I prefer chicken, so the first time I went in, tried the Bird Rock and was pleasantly surprised by the texture of the rice and how the seasoning of the chicken mixed perfectly with the unexpected blend of vegetables.

For my second visit I went more traditional with the Standard Issue. Again, I came away from that lunch completely satisfied with the amount of food and freshness of the ingredients. I expect to explore more into the Vegan and other Carnivore options soon. The selections are simply too interesting for this foodie to pass up.

Toro also has catering on the menu. The said they’ve done events up to 60 so far, but I have a feeling they’ll soon be doing larger ones. The food is too good to not consider if you plan to entertain guests.

Toro is a clear passion project. The owner greets you warmly and prepares everything fresh behind the counter. The menu pulls flavors from different cuisines together in simple yet creative ways. Portion sizes are right on.

Automatic 15% tip on all orders. This is a small restaurant with only a handful of tables, maybe enough room for 10 people. Portions were way too unbalanced for my liking. It said it came with tomatoes, but I got only 3 diced tomatoes on top which is a joke. Not enough chimichurri and way too much rice. Just wasn’t impressed with it. I finished everything else in the bowl and still had a bunch of white rice. It is quality food but if I am paying $20 for a bowl it better give good portions and flavor. I wish I would have just went to Chipotle or Qdoba.
