Love this Newtown location! It never disappoints! Damon our server is amazing! We had the pleasure of meeting him and he is attentive, professional and warm! The steak dinners were delicious… I had the filet mignon with asparagus side and mushrooms! I also love the Merlot… and of course the desserts presented beautifully! I look forward to going back… oh and how can I forget the Caesar salad!! Thanks again Damon! You always give us the royal treatment!

Having visit a Capital Grill before, we were aware of the type of service we would be receiving and visiting this location was no exception! Ordered the lamb without the mint gremolata and was delicious and tender on its own! Husband ordered the sliced filet and it did not disappoint! Ordered the truffle tries, hit the spot! Told them we didn’t need dessert but they insisted..so glad they did, everything on that happy birthday plate was perfection! Garret (our server) and all the staff did an amazing job in helping me celebrate my 40th birthday!

It’s been awhile since I’ve been to Capital Grill and blown away how much things have changed since my last visit 2 years ago. Staff was attentive and friendly. Big shout out to Chef Todd for PERFECTLY grilled medium rare steak. Hands down better than Mortons and Ruth Chris. I suggest making an appointment when Todd is working, you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been to this CG several times and it never disappoints. The other night was special though. The food was outstanding as usual and the atmosphere a cut above the other steak place in town, Rocco’s, which has let its standards slip considerably in recent years. What made this night special though was the service. While always good at this location, Saturday night was on another level. I’ve tended not to expect as much from service providers out here in the “burbs” relative to the city but Kane, our server, was as good as any server I’ve had anywhere. Informative and direct, friendly and professional. I hope to return many times and next time I plan on requesting a table in Kane’s section.

In addition, all of the staff from waiters and waitresses, to the manager, to the bus-boys were incredible. Of course, the food was amazing. We will be back and bringing our loved ones ASAP. The Capitol Grill, regardless of the season, the weather, or any other curve ball you choose to throw at them, is always a breed apart in all aspects of food quality and service. It was a little sparse on atmosphere this particular evening but who cares. 4 stars to our server Joy who was attentive and lovely in all aspects of her service. The quality is a value for the cost.

All was “mostly” well on this visit.
Enjoyed fillet medallions and cream spinach. My largest complaint being that the number 1 part of the dining experience was totally ignored on this visit. The most important question that needs to be asked after 45 to 75 seconds after meal service. ” HOW IS EVERYTHING”? I think it would be in management’s interest to reinforce this with the bartenders from that evening.
I’d also recommend a new coffee also, tasted like watered down Maxwell house. Other than that, love the Capital.

We just returned home from our 22nd anniversary dinner and everything was amazing. We had only been to the Philadelphia location and that was many years ago. So, it was nice to try the new Newtown location which is practically in our backyard.

We had reservations and arrived with no wait to a table decorated with heart confetti. The meals we ordered were amazing. One of the best steaks I personally have ever had. We were both so full we declined deserts, but they brought them out anyway along with champagne (complimentary), which really put the experience over the top. Being highly allergic to gluten, I also really appreciated how knowledgable they were and just how extensive the gluten free menu was.

Thank you so much for everything you did to make our night extra special. We will definitely be returning.

Went for Valentine’s Day lunch. No special jacked up menu. Standard lunch menu used. Could have ordered off the dinner menu. The small cup of lobster bisque was fantastic. Fresh lobster used. We both ordered the lunch filet with bernaise sauce it was cooked to perfection with a nice crust on the outside. Bernaise was very good and tasted fresh made. Bread served was good and no extra charge. Spouse had mashed and loved them and I had sauteed spinach which was tasty and not bitter. Plenty of food for us. White cloth covered tables and nice atmosphere. Wait staff was great. Will go again

We had a fantastic experience celebrating my son’s 18th birthday at the CG Newtown. The service was as good as any steakhouse you could visit, and the steaks were as well. I had the NY Strip and it was perfect. The staff was knowledgeable but not pushy with anything. While some people worry about the strip mall location, you would never know you are in one, and I found the ease of parking a positive. Well worth checking it out.

I have been to at least 3 or 4 other CGs. This chain is priced at the very high end of the market. While enjoyable, i dont think it was worth the money. Cocktails, appetizers and salads were very good. So were the sides and steaks. The disappointment was the small lobster tails. Yes, they were advertised as small, but some (not all) were really tiny and over-cooked. I have seen bigger shrimp than those things. If i am paying that kind of premium, they need to hit it out of the park on every dish and they did not. They also asked if were were celebrating anything and we said yes, a birthday. They were like….hey thats great….and that was the last time it was mentioned. I thought they might bring out a piece of cake or something..but no. There are other steak houses with great food and half the price.
