Randalls is a local eatery with a local clientele. The have a stage for live performance in the evening.
We were there for lunch. While we were seated promptly, it took about 15 minutes before anyone came to the table. After the initial table visit delivering water and cutlery it took another 15 to 20 minutes before our order was taken.
The place was not busy. We were one of three occupied tables. With our order entered we waited another 35 minutes for the food to come out.
We had ordered sandwiches. Mine was a poboy. It arrived on a hamburger bun. The meat was charred.
I enquired after the meal about the long service time. Apparently there was an emrrgency in the kitchen and the chef left before making our order. A back-up cook had to be called in.
I really wanted to like the place, and might give ut a second try.
The rating is based on my one experience there. It may or may not be representative of the usual operations.

Really nice mom & pop business. Randall was there just casually walking around with the customers instead of acting like a pretentious owner, I really appreciated that. The catfish was delicious, and they gave so many fries! Maybe it’s a North thing, my toast came buttered, I haven’t had that before, but I still made a sandwich with it. I would return if I was in the area.

This establishment is very lively and upbeat. Open floor plan with a jazz décor. Menu is full of comfort foods. If you like home cooking This is your spot. Pork chop sandwich was made to perfection. Randall’s was recommended and now I will recommend.

I heard about this place by word of mouth. We met the owner he gave humble uncle/ dad vibes and the waitresses gave auntie 🙂 Reminded me of home (the south) for sure! We waited an hour for our food and received the wrong food after spending $130. I called to complain about receiving the wrong sides and one of the waitresses insinuated that I should be satisfied because nothing was actually missing. I spoke with the owner and he immediately offered to make it right.

Found about this restaurant from Tik Tok. So our party of 7 came. Saying it had the best catfish in Denver. It was seasoned to perfection. Loved the owner was from Louisiana.

I Really like the food here. But corners are Now being cut, Canned Yams, Canned Greens with too much peppers added, Instant Rice, All while the Prices Keep increasing. The cook needs to arrive by 9am to prepare Fresh Sides Daily, including the Red Beans.(There were bones in My Red Beans’ Where they do that At?). It’s disappointing to Support a Business that wastes Your Hard Earned Money on Subpar dishes. Please Randall “Raise the Bar” back Up.

I Don’t Enjoy Randall’s Anymore because I got gentrified June 2023. Rodney’s Kitchen Chicken in Waterloo and Taste of Africa and Krünch Box at Krispy Krunchy Chicken in Des Moines ♂️ had to replace my favorite Denver Black Owned Businesses. And We re Doing Fair.
