My husband and I took the chance to have a kid-free lunch date before Christmas chaos. We have been wanting to try this place since they opened but just never got the chance until today.
We walked in and we were greeted immediately by retro arcade style decor. For us 90s kids we instantly felt the nostalgia. There are some claw machines as well as arcade games (my husband loved the pac man game and yes was even happier paying in qtrs).
We each ordered a burger with a side and drinks. Both were great and juicy burgers. To clarify juicy is not greasy. Our buns held, the fries and onion rings weren’t coated in it either. It was a great meal and we loved how the restaurant supports other local businesses (i.e. Brew City Soda).
We appreciate the touches the owners put into this place because we really enjoyed it. Would recommend to those just looking for a simple lunch that you know is good every time you order.

Took my diabetic daughter her for her carb cheat day and Henry the owner was very friendly and helped me with figuring out her carbs. No other Waukesha restaurants do that. My daughter had a bacon cheese burger she said was very fresh. We had onion rings and cheese curds with ranch were really good. Burger and all ingredients seemed very fresh. Henry also threw in some ice cream for my daughter… How sweet. We will be back soon. Atmosphere is friendly and laid back. Retro music is fun. Cheeseburger seats are cool too.

We were running errands in Waukesha County and ended up stopping here. I ordered a Philly cheese steak and my daughter a spicy chicken sandwich with a side order of fried pickles. Food was just okay. Not a destination restaurant.

We had a last minute change in dinner plans and wanted to check it out and we’re so glad we did! Everything we had was SO good – the burger was top notch and perfect. The fires were delicious and we finished up our meal with ice cream. We will definitely stop in often. The cost can add up quickly but it’s worth it. (Pictured our half eaten cheese curds because they were too good to stop for a photo)

Had dinner for the first time at Sweet Dreams in Waukesha. It was really good. The Philly cheese steak and mozzarella wraps were delicious. The PB Lovers sundae was delicious too. They have sodas from Brew City, which were great. They have around 30 different shake/malt flavors. They also serve soup, which we didn’t get to try yet.

I’ve been here several times now, and both the food and the service is awesome. The burgers are home style, the fries are crispy, the onion rings are crispy on the outside (coating) and the onion itself is nice and tender. The shakes and sundaes are great, and the flavors offered are extensive.The mozzarella sticks are the size of egg rolls, and wrapped in wonton wrappers.
The decor is fun as the walls are covered with fun outerspace murals with burgers, fries, hotdogs, soda, and various forms of ice-cream items shown as cartoon space characters. Enjoy throw-back 80’s music as you eat. There are Plenty of tables and chairs to sit at.

Good selection of food from burgers to appetizers you’d expect from a custard shop.
The mushroom Swiss burger was good and the fried mushrooms were a good portion.

Service was friendly! We went right at opening and I feel like maybe the night crew didn’t clean too well- floors were sticky and visibly dirty around our table. The decor is cute and they have arcade games. Fries were delicious and I liked the local soda choices. My husband and I both got burgers and did not like them. I don’t think they were prepared wrong- just not to our personal tastes. The meat seemed majorly lacking in seasoning and the patty had a taste and texture that reminded me of school cafeteria burgers. We will certainly try again for a non burger meal- they have other good looking options, especially the mozzarella sticks.

What a lovely place! Don’t skip the churro bites. Cheese curds are crispy. Hot dogs are huge and quality! The best part is the ownership, Henry and his team treat every customer like a vip! Really feels like they are excited to chase their sweet dreams! Rare treat.

I love the atmosphere here!!! It’s very whimsical and fun, making it the perfect family-friendly restaurant! Their new Ultimate Quarter Pounder Meal for only $9ish after tax is great! Pay even less for the burger only! One of my favorite places to hang out and get a quick bite to eat, locally.
