I have been ordering from pier 34 for three years. Now that I don’t work in Goldsboro, I send my husband to pick up my food, and it be horrible service, as a faithful customer I called and placed my order the way I like it and you do it the way you want it is called poor service. Today I ordered a junior crab boil and said how I wanted my food and they do it the way they want, so I called to complain, and this smart mouth worker named Trinity, got nasty with me , so I asked her to put the manager on the phone she stated that the son was there I don’t want to speak with him, I want the manager, it’s inconsiderate and childish for workers who don’t have customer service experience, so

Trinity was my waitress and she was fantastic. I ordered the shrimp basket with cold slaw and French fries. Let me tell you, there is not better they could have done to make it taste better. The fries were consistent and coated lightly with some sort of flavorings which makes it some of the best fries that I’ve eaten. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. The only thing this restaurant needs is a wheel barrel to help you get out the door. Seriously folks, excellent food at an excellent price.

There are very few places in Goldsboro that are open on a Sunday night and Pier 34 was one of the few options.
Pier 34 is that strange architectural wonder in the Lowe’s parking lot that resembles a ship and in my 20 years living in this town I’ve only been in once before when it was called something else.
The Google reviews were all over the place and I was not sure what to expect but I was definitely not disappointed.
I had one of the best Margaritas I’ve ever had in a restaurant! This is not exaggeration. I usually only have them at home because they are mostly just margaritas mix, but this one was perfect!
I stuck to the appetizers and ordered the fried pickles and the Firecracker Shrimp. Both were excellent. The pickles came out fast… the shrimp took about 20 minutes but were definitely worth the wait.
The bartender, Destiny was wonderful and friendly. You get the feeling that the people who work there really like their jobs.
A quick note on the decor… it’s a very large strange place that suffers from someone’s decor decsions from a couple decades ago. And it could use a coat of paint in few places. But I’m less worried about that than the quality of the service and food … Both of which were excellent.
May be helpful to mention that they have karaoke on Thursday nights.

It’s a lovely place, you definitely get the vibes of your on a ship. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and sat promptly.
It wasn’t busy but we did wait about 25 minutes for them to get our drink order and food.
I ordered the Jr Crab boil. Let me tell you! It was amazing!!!!! My friend ordered the same but with lemon pepper flavoring. Spot on! The crab boil was really good.
We also ordered hush puppies and fried pickles. The fried pickles could have been breaded more and the hush puppies could have had more sugar. They were okay.
Definitely would come back though

Was our first time trying this place.i brought wife here for our anniversary. Will not be back. The service was terrible. One party left bc of service. We couldn’t get refills. We ordered the crab boils and didn’t even get crackers to crack the crab. My wife had to beat on them at the table. Couldn’t even get napkins. The waitress was only serving upstairs guest and forgot about us. She even lost our bill.

I placed to go order on phone.I didn’t realize until I arrived it looked a little scary no cars!I asked waitress she said the customers mostly come at night.I was the only one there.I got scared to purchase food thinking I might get food poisoning it crossed my mind,but I thought I’d give it a try cause I wanted shrimp etc.And just found out our Mayflower closed down.Anyways salad was fresh&good.The rest was awful the shrimp was chewy,fish t breaded greasy luke warm fries,slaw ok.Even the can Pepsi was stale.Id never eat here again or recommend to anyone.3girls in a corner booth that worked there laying down 1 the others eating.Really dark inside.I even asked why are you guys still open& haven’t shut down?One girl laughing the other said we were wondering the same thing!!!IM SURE NOT ENOUGH MONEY IS EVEN MADE TO PAY THE STAFF&LIGHTS ETC.I couldn’t believe it?!

Tried this place for the first time tonight. We ordered the shrimp basket and the flounder basket. Both were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. I will definitely be eating here on a regular basis. Great food!

Horrible experience it was my first time trying this place I ordered a seafood boil I asked oldbay seasoning And Garlic salt Put him on I waited almost an hour for the food When the food arrived, it was very bland They seasoned the boil with some type of herbs And whole pieces of garlic, not what I asked, for it was very bland, barely any seasoning in the bag Just a oily mess My first time In my last, we couldn’t order sodas because they had none Do not recommend at all
