I heard through the social media grapevine, that Bud’s Pizza & Beer had a 3 for $12 Lunch Special. After I dropped my taxes off at my accountant, I needed a treat. So I headed right over to Bud’s to enjoy an affordable lunch.
You’re given 9 items to choose from and you can pick any 3 of them that you want for your lunch. You can even pick the same item 3 times, if you don’t want variety. I personally wanted variety, so I choose; a Slice of the Day which was Meatball, 3 Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings and 3 Toasted Raviolis. The toasted Ravs are made in house and are as good as some I have had on, The Hill. My wings were meaty and juicy and the garlic parmesan kicked ass. The slice of pizza definitely had pizazz. The meatballs were sliced in half for presentation, the sauce had a nice tang to it and the cheese was mozzarella. Best of all, I liked how the bottom of the crust had a nice toasted & crispy finish.
They have a good variety of beers. Their offerings come in, bottle, can and draft. I went with a draft. I choose a Hide Tide from Logboat Brewery in Columbia, MO. It’s one of my faves from that brewery.
The service was top-notch. I enjoyed reading the story of Bud and the reasoning behind all the trains on display. There’s metered parking in front of the restaurant and a private lot across the street, which is free. Use which ever meets your needs.
I’ll definitely be back for another lunch and maybe a dinner, too.

The atmosphere was absolutely amazing. The red lights, the music, such a vibe, but the service was not IT!! The server was short with us (was not busy btw) and did not introduce themselves or offer to start us off with drinks. I had to initiate the conversation with the server as far as drinks and appetizers went. They did not make eye contact with us, which was super uncomfortable. Luckily enough, the food made us forget about the awkward interaction with our server. Great apps and pizza!

What a great place. Was greeted by the cheerful bartender as soon as we walked in the door. She seated us and was also our waitress. We ordered a glass of beer and a glass of wine as well as a large pizza. We ordered the half meatball pizza and half carnivore pizza. It was delicious. The crust was a perfect thickness not too thin, not too thick. I would definitely recommend it. The restaurant was decorated so cute and you could tell that they paid attention to every little detail. The restrooms were even cutely decorated. For parking you could either park in front or they had a lot in back or across the street. This is a great little place and I shall be Back

I’ve been wanting to try Buds Pizza since they opened, and we finally made it tonight. Totally worth the wait! The guy sitting next to us was raving about the marinara before our food even arrived, which had my expectations sky-high and the pizza still blew me away.
We ordered a half Aloha/half Carnivore, plus a slice of the Boxcar (slice of the day). Omg…this is as close to a perfect slice as it gets. The crust is spot-on, not too thick or thin with just the right chew. The slices are big, the ingredients are fresh and high-quality, and the menu is fun and creative.
My husband and I could only finish one slice each, so we’re already planning to swing by just for a slice whenever we’re in the area. Excited to have such an awesome pizza spot nearby!

Hands down my favorite pizza in St. Louis! Perfectly cheesy, baked to golden perfection, with dough that tastes incredible. Friendly service, quick turnaround, and prices that make it an easy yes every time.

If you’re hungry, this is the place to go. The slices are huge and absolutely loaded with toppings; they don’t skimp at all. Every bite had great flavor, with the perfect balance of sauce, cheese, and fresh ingredients.
On top of the amazing pizza, the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Great food and great service. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

This is such a great place for a late night meal and drinks. We came here on late Saturday night. It was a relaxing late night place. The pizza was delicious and pretty big. The salad was good. The drink was great with decent amount of alcohol.

[July 2025] My bestie and I came here on a Friday night. There is only street parking either on Kingshighway or side residential streets. When you walk in, it’s like walking into a bar/restaurant that is on a stage somewhere with its thick red valance curtains throughout. They have booths with high upholstered seats, but their bar seating is barstools (for those like me who prefer seating with backs). Their cocktails are reasonably priced and there are some non-alcoholic options available and run $7-$9. I saw on Google 11 months ago that they had an Heirloom Margarita. In 2025, I was really on a margarita and sangria kick, so I asked about it and unfortunately it was not a cocktail option anymore. I ended up getting a Lavender Lemonade which was perfect for the summer. I started with a small spinach and berry salad which was amazing! For my slice, I ordered the Boxcar which was pepperoni and jalapeno finished with a balsamic glaze. It was a really good combination on top of a crust that isn’t too thick or too thin. Speaking of crusts, they do have gluten-free dough for an upcharge of $4. I also ordered a Cosmopolitan and for the strangest reason ever, he lined my glass with sugar. It was also not the right flavor for a Cosmopolitan so he definitely put his own spin on that. I will return to try more pizza though!!

My wife and I stopped in this evening to give Bud’s a try. We were not disappointed. We started out with the house salad. It has a surprising amount of tomatoes and onions – restaurants are usually scant with those on salads. We followed that up with the Boxcar pizza. We both thought the pizza was delicious. The sauce was fresh and vibrant, there were plenty of toppings – but not too many. Overall, we had a great experience and we look forward to going back in the future.

This was our first visit, Bud’s came highly recommended and is only 1/2 a block away from home. My girlfriend and I are very pleased with our pizza! And while the atmosphere is great we aren’t drinkers so takeout is perfect for us! We chose “the Carnivore” pizza and we haven’t had this great of a pizza in a long time! We’ll be ordering again soon!
