I had a good time. I was disappointed with the food. What can I say other than underwhelming and overpriced. I hope this was just an off night. I love to spend money for food that hits right but plate after plate except for the wings were not even decent. Chewy chicharron, shrimp that was barely enough share among 2 people and the yuka fries all 6 of them were ok. The issue at the end was that when you expect the food to be on par with what you pay and it doesn’t measure up it feels like a let down. Thank God the IPA’s were cold and the service was on point. 2 out of 3 isn’t bad. I’m just foodie with that’s sets the bar high.

We popped in on a cold rainy day, the vibes were AMAZING regardless! Our bartender, Kathy, made us feel so welcome with her cheery disposition, she was very attentive and had some great recommendations- definitely try her passion fruit margaritas! The music was a nice mix and kept it lively. Joey was cool/funny too. The whole night was surprisingly nice and the decor was a great Christmasy touch.

Barrel & Brew is not what you would expect by the name nor location. At first you think it would serve pub food but no señor! It’s delicious Latin food! Portions were not large but certainly enough. Something to keep in mind if you want to share. Cocktails were good yet limited menu with majority of the cocktails with the same main spirit and garnish.
Decor is industrial but not cold. The menu display on the Televisions was odd and sort of cheapens the ambiance of the nice coffered ceiling and rich warm woods. There was an Edison bulb out over the bar which made me wonder about attention to detail. A great feature to this restaurant is that they have special nights with live entertainment and DJ.
As for the service, opportunity is in our initial server which felt a bit cold and not engaged. However this was quickly recovered by the other team members serving us.
All in all, a fair place for a little something out of the norm in New Milford.

I celebrated my 25th birthday at this bar, and it was perfect from start to finish. We rented it out as an open bar for a Saturday night, and both my friends and family had an awesome time. The food was great, the drinks were on point, and the overall atmosphere was exactly what you want for a celebration.
The staff and owner were incredibly helpful throughout the planning and the night itself—they made everything easy. After our party officially wrapped up, a DJ arrived and many of us stayed to keep the fun going. And as a bonus, the bar was already decorated for Christmas, which made the space feel extra cozy and festive. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

I just went for the first time recently and had the best time. Staff was extremely friendly and the drinks were super affordable. Kat and Andrea helped me and my friend group by letting us know about current specials and fan favorites among the crowd. They were super bubbly and personable. The margaritas were delicious and paired with great food. Will definitely be coming back!

This spot is an absolute gem! Kathy is an incredible bartender and server- friendly, attentive and genuinely great at what she does. She makes the best margaritas around and all drinks were consistently great all around. The vibes were immaculate, the music was on point and the whole atmosphere just made for an amazing time. Definitely recommend stopping by.

Barrel & Brew is always a vibe. Kathy and Joey are hands down two of the best bartenders around super friendly, quick with the drinks, and they make everyone feel like a regular. The service is on point, the atmosphere is great, and the cocktails always hit. If you want a spot where you’re treated right and the energy is always good, this is it.

Barrel & Brew Craft Bar and Restaurant left us quite disappointed. We arrived at 9:15 pm and didn’t eat until 11:15 pm. Luckily the DJ was great and we made the best of it but the amount of excuses we got from various servers in regards to why our meal was delayed was ridiculous. First it was because they had multiple birthday parties and the kitchen was backed up. Then it was because a new system had erased our orders so they took it again. There was no excuse for why they charged $99.36 for 6 glasses of Pinot or why we paid a BOLD $42.60 gratuity for a party of 3. They never offered a bottle of wine versus a glass but not sure if that would even have mattered. They tried to make up for the wait with three tequila shots and a lame joke about how even though our food took long we got free shots. Most of the staff was very unprofessional and dismissive. When we finally got our food one of the staff members opened the door and left it open while we were at the front of the restaurant trying to eat our late dinner. The atmosphere was nice and the food wasn’t bad or expensive but almost feels like they prolonged our dinner so we would keep ordering $16.50 Pinots. And no prices for drinks are not listed on the menu … won’t be going back to this strip mall overpriced spot. So no need to offer your free appetizer or 40% off appetizer.

Came out to New Milford to hang with some friends and we found our way to Barrel & Brew Craft Bar… first off, the vibes are everything— the staff is amazing and the drinks are fire— the food was amazing, a bit cold by the time it came out but even so couldn’t help but enjoy every single bite.
For apps we had empanadas, chicharrón, wings, coconut shrimp and the garlic shrimps— we shared and every single bite was worth it. Entree I had me the ribeye steak which I couldn’t even finish cause it was HUGE… but def leaving fully satisfied.
Oh and did I mention that halfway through our meal… a live band pulled up.
I would have given 4 stars as there is always room for growth however, between the band and the staff was which was so kind, generous and extremely attentive. To top it off, we had a chance to meet Albert the owner who stopped by our table to check in with us and tell us what was good— it made me feel all special!
