Saw this restaurant being hyped up on social media and decided to give it a try as an early Thanksgiving dinner with my brother. Although the price point is kind of high, the food did not disappoint.

We called a day ahead and ordered the 4hr Clay Pot Roasted Duck. The duck meat was very moist and packed with flavor. The rice, lentils, and sweet potatoes stuffed into the duck were delicious as well. Most definitely lived up to the hype.

Before the duck arrived we also ordered some of the Sliced Duck and Pork Belly. Both were amazing, but the Pork Belly was the star of the show. Some of the best I’ve ever enjoyed. We even asked for a second order at the end of our meal.

Service here was pretty standard for a Korean restaurant. Since it’s not an AYCE spot, the server cooked the meats for us and served the Clay Pot Roasted Duck for us. The interior is pretty classic for a Korean restaurant.

Overall, everything was amazing and worth the price. Not sure if I’d make the drive to splurge again unless it’s a special occasion.

We preordered a signature roasted duck for our party of three. Roasted duck is stuffed with purple rice, some herbs, pumpkin seeds. Very nutritious and delicious. The texture tastes like chicken at the restaurant, so fresh and tender! Highly recommend dine in for the duck to get the freshest taste. I would definitely come back to try duck bbq
p.s. I took some leftovers home and microwave the next day. It became regular duck taste.

Oh my goodness, one of the best ducks I’ve ever tasted. The roasted duck was absolutely to die for. You do need to call ahead at least 4 hours in advance since it takes that long to cook, but it’s 100% worth it.

The service was very quick, and they kept refilling our banchan promptly. We also ordered the noodle soup made with duck bone broth and smoked duck, along with radish sam. Everything was soooo good.

First time tried grill smoked duck and love it! The smoke duck is good for 4 ppl and their also have grill slice duck. The fried rice is also really good and the soup is a bit spicy! Good place to hang out with a lot of friends and drink. The servers were nice and friendly and will definitely go back.

Delicious smoked duck!!! We didnt call ahead for the roasted duck, but the smoked duck was fantastic. It gets nice and crispy on the grill, frying itself in its own fat, while staying tender and juicy. Also got the pollack soup which was great as well!

The roast duck is a must try. Melt in your mouth tender along with purple sticky rice and grains.

The parking is horrible so maybe Uber there or drive a small car.

Owner is very enthusiastic about his food.

Roasted duck is amazing! You need to order 24hrs ahead and it’s totally worth it.
Their spicy soup with small intestines are surprisingly good, also the fried rice!

Really disappointing experience. We came here for lunch and didn’t even get the roast duck—just ordered two stews. The flavor was pretty bland, and there was barely any meat in the soup, even though each one cost $20.

The worst part? The place was full of fruit flies flying everywhere. It was so bad we couldn’t even enjoy our meal. We left in under 10 minutes and had to pack everything to go. The service was also really bad! the owner just threw the takeout boxes on the table without even looking at us. Definitely not coming back. ‍↕️

The duck is delicious, tender, and flavourful. Obviously the way in which the duck is prepared will offer flavour nuances that will differ slightly, pick accordingly or just ask if you’re a newbie. I’m so glad my companions and I made the trip here. I detest LA but KTown LA has some, if not the best Korean restaurants the country —arguably the best on two continents, and this place is incredible. Definitely a worthwhile meal. Can’t wait to visit again!

Got the roast duck that you need to order in advanced (we ordered a day in advanced). For the 4 of us, we got this and the duck noodle soup, which I don’t think we saw on the menu but saw on Yelp.

Verdict: roast duck was good! Very tender duck, delicious and unique, although I wouldn’t say it was life changing and not sure it was worth $125. However, happy for this restaurant doing well as it’s a cute Korean mom and pop shop and nothing I’ve ever tried. The duck noodle soup was super good, recommend getting that. Flavorful and a little spicy, great way to end our duck meal. If we weren’t too full, we wish we’d try the smoked duck to compare. The banchan was good too but also not life changing.

We enjoyed trying flat croissant at coin de rue bakery and black sesame cream latte at cafe de mama next door, so it was a culinary feast just in this small block in ktown. Was easy to find parking Saturday lunch of Memorial Day weekend too.

Enjoy!
