We had the vegan Hogmanay menu in December and it was INCREDIBLE! Hands down one of my new favourite restaurants in Glasgow. The staff were so friendly and it was so nice to see they actually put so much love and effort into the vegan options and they weren’t just an after thought at all. Highly highly highly recommend!!

Had a great meal at @loboglasgow – every dish was solid, which isn’t always the case with small plates spots. Usually there’s a standout or two and a couple that miss the mark, but here everything came out tasting great and well-balanced.

What we got, in order of preference:
• Roast coley with piperade & anchovy croquette, £16
• Pork chop, morcilla, chickpeas, burnt apple sauce, £16.50
• Roast potatoes, £6
• Confit garlic panisse with black garlic & parmesan, £7
• House focaccia with black olive tapenade, £5
• Spiced cucumbers chilli oil, crispy chickpeas, tahini, £10
• Truffle mushroom fregola, broadbeans, crispy mushrooms, £13
• Grilled courgette confit cannellini beans, salsa verde, £11

Highlights:
The roast coley surprised me the most – interesting flavours and the anchovy croquette worked way better than expected.
The pork chop was up there too – juicy and perfectly cooked.
And the roast potatoes were class too – crispy, fluffy, seasoned just right.

Everything we tried was done to a great standard, even the lighter dishes like the spiced cucumbers and grilled courgette held their own.

One of the best small plates meals I’ve had in a while – and a nice wee spot with good vibes and staff who had great chat.

Absolutely love it here. The menu rotates every 6 weeks and means that you can keep trying amazing food. Atmosphere, staff and food are all 10:10

Loved the food (and the mocktails were 10/10 as well!) and service very friendly as well. Lovely atmosphere inside too.
Myself and my wife had a variety and loved it all. Highlights were the fish dish and leeks.

Will 100% return.

I never leave reviews but I wanted to show my appreciation for Lobo, which never misses. The food is always incredible, the service is always great, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. You could spend twice this in a similarly themed place in London or New York or Berlin for a meal half as good. Southsiders are lucky to have this place on our doorstep and I hope it sticks around for many years to come

Fantastic food and service! We had the roast chicken, fried gnocchi, mackerel, garlic panisse with smoked aubergine and blue cheese croquettes. Every single dish was lovely. Unfortunately had no room left for dessert. We enjoyed the meal thoroughly and would definitely come back for more.

Tried this restaurant for dinner with family. Friendly enough staff, though service was slow. I ordered the crispy roast chicken leg, which as it turned out wasn’t. The skin was basically uncooked and slimy, the leg was about the size of a quail leg and was swimming in a pool of pey lentils which were cold. At a cost of £17.00 it was abysmal.
I asked the waitress for a Coke but instead got a Karma Cola which is some sort of fair trade drink from Sierra Leone. I thought it strange she didn’t tell me they don’t sell regular Coca-Cola but decided just to try it in any case. It tasted of nothing except sugary water, no discernible Cola taste whatsoever.
Whilst eating, other patrons came in and were stood behind our table while waiting for their table. I found this incredibly uncomfortable, having people standing over me while I was eating and trying to converse with my family and indeed one girl even managed to bump into me twice while having an animated conversation with her friends. Eventually they were seated.
We decided we would have desert and I asked another waitress what was meant by the “Burnt Basque Cheesecake” on the menu. She simply said “it’s burnt”. I declined. This has to be one of the poorest restaurants I’ve ever visited and I won’t ever be back.

I am fully obsessed with Lobo – gorgeous and inventive flavours, everything is cooked to perfection, definitely the best meals out I’ve ever had, hence all the return visits!
The team are so lovely, it’s my go to place for celebrations now and they always go out of their way to make visits extra special.
The menu changes frequently so there’s always something new to try, they also have a fab vegan menu, and wonderful drink selection including great soft drink options. The prices are also extremely competitive for how stunning the meals are, you could easily expect to pay at least double for dishes of this standard elsewhere in town. A must try!!

Overall great food, the roast coley was amazing, as were the pork cheek croquettes and the anchovy butter foccacia, however the patatas bravas hash brown was a real disappointment, so I would say just avoid that completely.

Called with really short notice but they managed to shuffle things around to cater for our party of 3.
Alex was amazing, selling the menu an specials option.
Food was amazing and now added to our favourites list.
Just one things guys, heat the plates up before sending them out, the food is too delicious to let get cold.
