My go-to chinese food for the past 4yrs! Used to go there at least once a week – usually when my child came back from sports meet. The owner (same as my name) started recognizes me…. Missed his food so much – we moved overseas temperory for now unfortunately. But when we r back in town, we’ll definitely head back for our fav – beef w/ brocolli (brown sauce!) and Beijing chicken wings!

We’ve been coming here for 20 years and the food is still great as ever. You can never go wrong with the combo fried rice and garlic chicken! 🙂 Parking isn’t hard to find and the staff are super friendly. Would highly recommend if you’re in Menlo Park.

Went to Chef Kwan‘s for the first time and ordered vegetable chow mein with cream cheese wontons. Lots of parking near Trader Joe’s in the back. Appropriately socially distanced in the lobby. A few little tables to sit. Specifically asked if the wontons were vegetarian and was told that they have egg, but other than that would be okay. Well, actually, they have crab— which I don’t consider vegetarian. Really big bummer. The noodles were all right, but tasted very black peppery. Probably would not return here, unfortunately.

Chef Kwan’s is a solid choice for American Chinese takeout. The food is pretty good, with all the classics you’d expect; nothing too fancy, but definitely satisfying. They have a good variety on the menu, so it’s easy to find something for everyone.

One of the best things about this place is how fast they are. My order was ready in just 10 minutes, and the service was quick and efficient. It’s clearly set up for takeout, so don’t go expecting a dine-in experience; but for a quick and tasty meal to go, Chef Kwan’s delivers.

Whenever I think of good Chinese food, I always think of this place. In fact, I usually use it as a benchmark when buying from other places but the answer is always the same “it’s not as good as Chef Kwan’s!” I have been going here for about 15 years, which is before their name change, but the service and food quality never changed. Whenever I am in the area now and need something to eat, or want to grab take out for family and friends, this is THE spot!

Disappointed in both the price and the quality of food. I ordered general tsos chicken, some pots stickers and an egg roll. The picture attached is what I got when I ordered general tsos, there’s a one size container (no small or large) and it costs $15 – yea $15 for just that container. No rice or anything with it. Then when I got it I was def disappointed in the taste. This is a different general tsos that just tastes like mild chicken wing pieces put in a container. Not the unique sweet and spicy general tso you would expect. Then the egg roll cost me $2 and that wasn’t even a nice egg roll – it was a small spring roll that you can get in the frozen section of a grocery store in a box. Then to top it off, the potstickers were sold individually- $2 a piece! So I wanted atleast 3 of them – well at least those were good – but $6 for 3 dumplings??? In the end everything cost me $24 and it honestly was a waste of money. The chicken I cant even eat, it’s not even big pieces but instead small little pieces/ends/trimmings put in a box with barely any flavor. – ridiculous. Never going back here again, not worth the money at all

I’ve been going to this restaurant for decades. That includes when it was called Su Hong to go. Went in today to get a little dinner and the gentleman at the register was out and out rude. Very short, and gave you the distinct impression that he didn’t wanna be there. The food is still very good, but no food is that good. I’m afraid that’s the last time I go back. No, the gentleman was not Asian.
