⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Roundhouse Deli – A Hidden Gem in Elk Grove

We stopped by Roundhouse Deli during the lunch rush and instantly knew we were in the right place — the line was full of city workers, FedEx drivers, and several police officers (some in uniform, some in plain clothes). Always a good sign!

We ordered burgers, tri-tip tacos, and a pastrami on rye Reuben — and everything was absolutely delicious. The tri-tip in the tacos was thin-sliced and piled high. The burgers were perfectly cooked and flavorful. The pastrami was also thin-cut but generously stacked, making the sandwich thick and satisfying. The fries were hot, crispy, and the perfect side.

It’s a small deli with limited indoor and outdoor seating, so we took our food to go. Despite the busy lunch crowd, service was quick and friendly.

We missed the breakfast menu (ends at 10:30 AM), but we’ll definitely be back soon to try the breakfast burritos. This place is going straight into our regular lunch rotation!

We were heading to Reno and needed lunch. We are a railroad family as hubby has been working with them for over 40 years.
I usually get in trouble with my restaurant choices, but this one is a winner. I always make sure there are plant based options for myself, and there were. I had 2 of the veggie tacos which were so simple and super deliciously perfection. They were filled with chopped avocados, lettuce, and cheese. I can’t eat onions, so we left off the Pico. So simple and yummy.
My husband ordered a Railmaster, which he’s a Roadmaster, and he loved it
It was exactly what he wanted. I truly appreciated the service, which was excellent. The process were extremely fair considering what we ordered and the other menu items.
This is a really comfy place to fine in our take out. Just casual, but they still asked about our order making sure we had everything we needed.
There were so many options from breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I think he should order the Train Wreck next time, but that probably hits too close to home.

I go to this place often because it’s near my work. I always get the veggie burrito and add 3 ounces of tri-tip for a extra charge of course, and it’s always been good big burrito. But this past Saturday, things went south. This burrito cost me $14 it wasn’t worth the money paid for the portion that I got. Look at the picture

I called in my order ahead of time, and the guy said it’d be ready in 10 minutes. I get there 15 minutes later, pay for my food, and it’s not even ready yet. To make matters worse, some dude who ordered after me gets his food before me!

When I finally get my burrito, it’s all messed up. It’s missing the potatoes, and smaller then usual it’s just a sad it’s excuse for a burrito. I’ve been going there for 3yrs now, and this is the first time I’ve had a bad experience.

I don’t know what happened, but if they keep this up, they’re gonna lose me as a customer. #BadExperience #Disappointed #

Tri-tip tacos and potato salad for dinner. Delicious. The potato salad is so good. It doesn’t have a ton of veggies in it. Simple. The breakfast burritos are huge. The tri-tip was tender. Not to be mistaken for Tinder.

The food is the star here. These tri tip tacos are incredible. Every bite was delicious.

It’s a standard walk up for ordering with indoor seating.

Great food. Quick service.

Parking was tight because it’s near a starbucks, they can’t control that though. It’s more of a heads up rather than part of my review of Roadhouse Deli.

I was looking for a different restaurant around this area happened to run into this joint… I tried the Trainwreck sandwich.. it comes with smoked tri-tip pastrami and cheese bell peppers and onions all on a soft warm bun. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Very nice staff and very fast cooking..

Consistent and efficient service. Its located in a strip mall like everything else in EG. I had their tacos two times and this location didnt blow my mind like the originals did in Roseville. Their hot pastrami or train wreck is a good choice. Hot sauce is fire!

Well this is a fantastic little surprise. The food here was delicious I had the markzburger which is a burger with pastrami and bacon on buttered sourdough bread. The fries were delicious the facility was clean and the people were very pleasant.

My wife had the Philly cheese steak and I should note that we both had food that we could take home to eat later because it’s quite a bit.

This is nice but I’m starting to light the asada tacos much better than the tri-tip. Personal preference really. Primarily the differences that the tri-tip has bit of a more smoky flavor and the asada has more of a true taco like texture flavor.
