Reviews
Big thumbs up for the chefs and the owner! We are coming back soon! Thanks for the great food at the great price!
We booked the 1 p.m. seating, arriving about ten minutes early just in case traffic slowed us down.
Gary was our sushi chef, and he and his assistant were impressively efficient while serving a total of nine guests. Our party had three people. We ordered a small bottle of Dassai 39 to accompany our lunch and it was refreshing. 39 means 61% of the rice grain was milled away with 39% left to brew the sake. This is a premium sake at reasonable price.
The fish selection was very good. Highlights for me included the shima aji, uni, chu toro, eel, and botan shrimp.
My only real critique was the seasoning of the sushi rice. I found it a bit too salty, and the acidity felt slightly off, which took away from the natural sweetness of the fish.
Overall, though, it was a solid omakase experience and definitely good value for the money.
While the space is designed in a bar-style format, the overall execution felt closer to a prix-fixe sushi course than a refined omakase centered on technique, balance, and craftsmanship.
At $80 per person before tax and tip (bringing the total to over $100), I expected a noticeable distinction from a standard $30 sushi set. Unfortunately, the flavors did not stand out in a way that justified the price. The wasabi was barely perceptible and was not provided separately for adjustment.
The chef prepared sushi while wearing disposable gloves, which may be due to health regulations and is understandable from a food safety perspective. However, at this price point, it slightly detracted from the sense of craftsmanship typically associated with omakase. I also had to request a replacement cup due to cleanliness concerns.
The lasting impression was less “affordable omakase” and more “overpriced sushi set.”
That said, the service was friendly and attentive, and there was a level of creativity in some combinations.
If you understand what this is (and is not), it may still be worth trying once.
Atlanta’s sushi scene continues to grow, and diners here have developed a strong sense of quality. I hope the restaurant continues refining its execution to better align with the expectations that come with the word “omakase.”
Service was attentive and efficient, with courses coming out at a great pace. It wasn’t the most interactive or in-depth omakase experience, but everything felt smooth and well-executed.
Overall, a great value spot for quality sushi – definitely worth it for the price.

I peaked in to the front while waiting on my husband and they looked like they were enjoying their experience a lot more. Our chef didn’t really have much personality and we barely understood what each course was. It felt rushed.
We did the 12 course lunch menu. The fish was high quality and we enjoyed all of them. The standouts were the salmon, scallop, and tuna.
I am not sure if we would be back to try dinner. There are so many other omakase options in Atlanta now, I think you would probably get a better experience at a different location.
We had a reservation on Thursday and were seated promptly for the 16-piece omakase. The service was straightforward and efficient with no unnecessary frills. The chef worked quickly, preparing a steady flow of delicious sushi.
Overall, we really enjoyed the meal and appreciated the reasonable price for such a satisfying omakase experience.
Getting 16 courses of fresh, high-quality sushi for this price is hard to find in Atlanta. Every piece was carefully prepared and tasted great.
The pacing was smooth, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed — it felt like a much more expensive omakase than what we paid.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great omakase without spending a fortune. We’ll definitely be back.
