Hate to write bad about an experience but we ordered $98 worth of food and all five of the various sushi rolls we ordered were awful and nearly inedible. Same for the beef and chicken hibachi. Rice was soggy/mushy, fish was old, and they were all but falling apart. For the price, I just expected some quality. My kids will eat just about anything, and neither them nor I could stomach the sushi. Wife couldn’t bring herself to even try the hibachi because of smell and discoloration. The pictures don’t do it justice. Again, hate to write bad reviews but nearly $100 out for food the family couldn’t even eat.

They seemed nice when I went in to pick up the online order. I was really disappointed by the food. Got ramen. I make ramen better than this at home. If this was like $7 ramen I could understand. But I got ONE bowl of ramen for $17. Thats already expensive but the quality was also low so now its just outrageous. They use frozen veggies, like carrots and peas frozen bag, they weren’t cooked enough. The narutomaki was rubbery. The eggs were way overcooked and tasted sour? The beef was chewy and overcooked. The bamboo shoot was hard hard. It felt very cheap instant ramen to me, for a whole $17. They also didn’t give me chopsticks, but gave me those cheap white plastic fork and spoon that bent and couldn’t stand the heat of the broth so became useless. I had to use the fork and the spoon at the same time to try to pick anything out of the cup, it was really difficult and really disappointing.

Food was very good, the wall of the restaurant do not really matter when the food is this tasty! The sushi rice was warm, the bento box salad was warm and the tofu had a panko breading. But over all very good food.

Just had a great experience at Bensu! Friendly and attentive staff. Clean and tasteful decor. Tried the sashimi—it was good. And I’m a sushi snob. Also, had the pad Thai—subbed chicken for shrimp. And asked for hot chili flakes—cabe keriting kering. Indonesian flare comes shining through. It was outstanding. Menu has excellent variety but it’s not overwhelming. I’ll be back. Makasih!

Even though it was about a 30 minute drive before I got home, everything was still very crispy, fresh and good! I got boba tea to try for the first time and it was a very good first impression! It was perfectly sweet. The bobas had a very subtle brown sugar flavor. I would definitely get this again. I decided to try the wontons and in my opinion they are the best in Cushing. They had a good amount of filling, were still very crispy & the flavor was perfect! It didn’t need any sauce, but I decided to give it a try with the duck sauce and it complimented it very well. I also decided to try the spring rolls and I would say that I think that they are my favorite in Cushing as well. They had a wonderful flavor!!! They also did not need any sauce but I decided to try it with the duck sauce and it was really good too. I would definitely get both of these again. I decided to get a pretty basic roll this time….but I will get more adventurous next time. I got the deep fried crunch roll. It had fried tempura shrimp, cream cheese, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. It was pretty basic but it was good. It was a good first impression. The roll was a little bit messy but that’s probably my fault because like I said I had a long drive home. I wish that there had been a little bit more wasabi but I am a big fan of wasabi! So now I know to ask for more next time. One thing I didn’t like is the tail ….or possibly the head (?) of the shrimp was still left on and that was kind of an ick for me but not a big deal at all. The guys that worked there were really nice & service was fast. The environment looked nice and clean. I would definitely go in and dine in the restaurant next time. My husband and I will probably come back and try a few more adventurous rolls. I would definitely recommend this place. I think that we should support this small business because we need more places like this in Cushing. It’s a little bit off the main road so if you’re not looking for it you’re going to miss it. The parking lot was a little rough but I still think we need to support this business! Give them a try!!

the pink lady sushi roll was AMAZING. The server was nice! The spring rolls were good too. Next time I’m in Cushing I’m begging my family to go to Bensu Asian Bistro. Amazing restaurant, Amazing food, Amazing service.

I haven’t been this excited about local food before! This place truly is a hidden Gem, to find exotic and delightful food so close to home about made my entire year! The service was extremely friendly, they brought the food out quickly and with great care, everything looked delicious before even taking a bite. Sushi is absolutely one of my favorite foods and Bensu did not disappoint, but don’t worry if you are into sushi they have one of the broadest menus I have seen ranging from hibachi to soups and everything in between. Hands down the best Asian food in a 60 mile radius, don’t let this one slip between your fingers, get out and see for yourself, you’ll be very pleased .

I never thought I’d say you should go to Cushing Oklahoma for the sushi, but you absolutely should. This place is very good. We had onion soup and gyoza as appetizers and both were hot, the ingredients were very fresh and it was bursting with flavor. The rolls were excellent and there is a wide range of other options for those that don’t like sushi.
