Found this place on a Sunday drive out to Carmel valley, stopped by to grab sandwiches and was pleasantly surprised at the bbq sandwich options. Being from GA we were skeptical but gave them a try. Holy cow!!! My husband had the Tri-Tip sandwich and I had the Muther Clucker (love the name) pictures speak for themselves, the chicken was massive on my sandwich, perfectly moist, sauce was on point and it went great with our wine! Highly recommend! Will be back!

OK, first honesty is very important to me and I don’t like saying bad things about anyplace. I expected great things by the reviews average 4.5 very good score and owner responds to many reviews. Here’s the good stuff, great menu ,good service indoors and outdoor dining options . Very clean well maintained and obviously does a good job serving great tasting food. However, my experience was not impressive. I ordered their flagship Bear and Flag double burger and fries .I was only 1 of 3 customers, and It was definitely not busy.
It took 10 minutes for my burger, OK it arrives at my table in a bag wrapped up, same with fries? I was asked to go when I ordered? I said no for here and sat down at a table. So I unwrapped the burger and was surprised at the appearance of the bun. Look at the picture it’s smashed, so I took 2 bites and also realized it was barely warm . The fries were on point, I walked up to the counter and asked if that’s how they served the burgers, smashed? The girl said no and offered a new bun ,I politely said no. The 2 things that brought my experience crashing down were so easily fixable. Also chopped lettuce and thinly sliced tomatoes did not present well. I hope the owner reads this and please just look at the pictures you can see the bottom bun in paper thin, the only way that happens is if you really press down on the burger. The meat was cooked perfectly and was high quality just presented poorly. I am going back and trying some other BBQ options and hopefully can give a better review.

Recommended by my boss so we go and have the most sassy experience, was around lunch – out of any type of palatable meat which is understandable. Went for the turkey ciabatta and have to say the bread and avocado was my favorite part. Plenty of area to walk around and take in the scenery, a park nearby also to enjoy time with the family or alone. Restrooms only available when asked otherwise you’re out of luck. Service was sub par wouldn’t dream of enjoying my meal with a smile here apparently.

So thankful for a place that exceeds your expectations that you didn’t even know you had! Found this sweet pit stop on accident. It is so nice. Great patio. The brisket looked amazing. We opted for two of the best salads and French fries to go. We asked for beach recommendations from the kindest girl working the counter. She was so friendly. Helped us with our order. She was patient and kind. And then sent us to experience the best night! Thank you for great healthy food and a night that made great memories.

If there’s a Michelin rating for the sandwich shop then this is the place that deserves it. My wife had a BLT while I enjoyed the mother clucker. Both were amazing sandwiches. They have a great wine and champagne selection as well as Pliney the elder as their beer, how cool is that?

Highly recommend the ribs. They had a tangy and miso-inspired glaze that satisfied our sweet and savory cravings. The meat had a good bite to it, close to fall off the bone as if it entered a competition. (You don’t want it to completely fall off). It also had a nice crust to it like a creme brulee. Very decadent and wasn’t expecting that from a sandwich spot.

The fried chicken sandwich was also moist, yet crunchy. It’s a safe choice if folks don’t want something too heavy. The sauce reminded us of siracha mayo which gave the sandwich a subtle kick, but others might consider it spicy. We loved our experience here and will come again!

Great little spot in Carmel Valley for a charcuterie board, chicken sandwich, or ten + other delicious options off the menu. Nice little outdoor area id you’ve brought your dog or your mini me wants to run around. Good selection of beer, good, friendly help, and a clean establishment. I didn’t see a restroom, but I’m assuming they share one with the Wagon Wheel restaurant next door. If you’re a fan of of quaint little Gilmore Girls like places, this is for you.

Well, our tee time came and went with the rainstorm and we had to settle for other things that were just as nice…And, among them were the deli sandwiches from the Bear + Flag Roadside! What a treat, the sandos were Amazing! ☆☆☆☆☆

YUM. Recommended by a waitress where I ate yesterday and it did not disappoint. I opted for the Muther Clucker and it was delicious! Fell apart a little as I ate but that’s the experience sometimes, right?

Soooooooo we stumbled upon this hidden gem driving around, and I must say that to our pleasant surprise, it was by far the best breakfast we’ve had, and we made stops in San Francisco, big sur, and caramel highlands. The brisket breakfast burrito is one of the best burritos I’ve ever had. We came back twice . . The Latina lady at the cash register the first day we visited was very polite and gave us exceptional 5-star service. We met the owner the following day, and she was equally as polite. I highly recommend stopping by.
