A truly delightful, delicious and friendly family run South-east Asian restaurant with simple decore and outside seating for the warmer months. Our lunch was one of the tastiest we’ve had in Penticton. We just snuck in before they closed for the winter, reopening at the beginning of March 2026. We will be back for sure

A 4 hour drive from Vancouver is this beautiful lake beach town, Pendicton. Surrounded by some cool wineries and some interesting restaurant. I’m so glad we found this beachside restaurant right on the drive. The sever was not very friendly but attentive. The restaurant offered a variety of Vietnamese, Thai and American comfort food with a beautiful lake view. I had the Chicken Vermicelli and it was delicious, my spouse ordered the spicy beef Penang Curry and we both agreed that it was superb. Out Canadian host ordered both different burgers that they enjoyed very much. They also had a nice selection of domestic and import beers. The price was reasonable for such a hot tourist spot.

This restaurant is tucked away in the heart of Penticton’s north beach “motel row.” It’s the ideal venue if you’re with a party who can’t decide what type of food they want. They’ve got steaks, burgers, fish and chips, a kid’s menu, even vegan options. However, the real standout is the Cambodian fusion cuisine. The recipies are bold, and perfectly prepared.
Start with the sesame chicken for a shared appie, then move on to the best Pad Thai in the region. Finish by promising yourself to come back and try more dishes.
The setting on the lakeshore is breathtaking, the service is impeccable, and the Tran family is such fun to talk with. Make an evening of it.

This was such a special surprise for us to discover! Based on reviews we decided to give it a shot. I had the best Pad Tai I have had in a very long time. My husband had green chicken curry and loved it! It soon tried the dragon burger extra hot and he and his wife fought over it. My daughter-in- law had sesame chicken Cambo Combo. So delicious! We all tried each other’s food and it was all delicious! The waitress was attentive but not at all bothersome. She brought colouring page and creations for our toddler without us asking even. She was fantastic!

You must try the sesame chicken Also I am a won ton soup nut and this is my top pick in the last 10 years. Exceptional service. Our server, Georgia, was so kind, friendly and knowledgeable. It’s so nice to be treated so well. I don’t often take food pics to add to my reviews but you need to see the quality and generous portions! Great value. We will be back and bring our family and friends. Our new top favorite for casual dining in Penticton

Cambo Restaurant is located very near the beach with easy access. Jenn provided excellent, friendly service.
As we are familiar with Thai food prepared in Thailand we found the Chicken Pad Thai to be tasty and authentic. The Green Curry dish was ok but not the best we have had. The veggie rolls were tasty. Portions were generous.

The waitress was very friendly, kind and helpful! The food was very good and the plating was surprisingly well done seeing as the exterior of the building isn’t the prettiest. Was originally drawing in by the beer advertised on their umbrellas and was glad to see they served it! We arrived around five minutes before closing but we managed to get squeezed in and served! Excellent!

Thai quality food was less than fair. I had a red curry that came with steamed broccoli and cauliflower. Not a pinch of salt or any other flavor. C’mon. It’s a restaurant, i.e. some creativity is a must for the price. My wife’s rice was overcooked and mushy. Service is ok but something was a miss. Overpriced for a food quality, but understandable: prime location cost money to run.

Excellent service from hostess to servers. Pad Thai sauce is generic – tasted the same as the restaurant we visited down the street. Prawns very overcooked. Tofu teriyaki dish very bland and dry until extra teriyaki sauce arrived but the vegetables were cooked perfectly – crispy not mushy. Not a repeat for either of these 2 dishes.
