I have been to this location twice and both times my bagel was barely toasted and this time there was two big pieces of cold butter on the bagel. The bagel was barely hot so the butter wasn’t melting. Mind you it was a simple order plain toasted bagel with butter if you can’t get that right then you have a problem. I won’t be returning.

I’ve been coming to Surf Bagel for years, I was so happy when they finally got the location in Milford since it was closer to home. Anything I’ve ever ordered from their menu has been amazing, no mistakes, wrong orders, nothing. Any need for coffee, breakfast or lunch, Surf Bagel is the place to go for quality food and good prices. Definitely my recommendation for any tourists or newcomers!

UPDATE (10/7/25): I went back to Surf Bagel in Milford, DE and spoke with the manager, Terry. He handled the issue very well. He was professional, personable, and apologetic for our two experiences. And though we did not ask for any recompense, he had me take a gift card for a next visit. We will give them another try based on how he cared about our concerns and exercised good customer relations.
I am also pleased to see that the owners read their reviews, respond, and take customer experience seriously. Thank you to Katie. 🙂

Sadly disappointed with the staff. We recently moved into the Milford area and were glad to find Surf Bagel there. BUT, we’ve been there twice as of today (Sat 10/4) and both times our bagel orders were done incorrectly. And unfortunately we didn’t discover it either time until well after we had left and driven a ways away.
The first time the staff put the wrong cream cheese on our bagels…not what we ordered.
Today, the staff failed to put cheese on our egg+bacon+CHEESE bagel breakfast sandwich. We ordered, and paid for, the cheese.
I’ll be making a special trip back up there tomorrow (Sunday) to speak with a manager. Let’s see how well they handle their Customer Service and Relations…..
Surf Bagel, your staff need to do better, be more diligent, and get customers’ orders correct.

Prices are just way too high, and the quality doesn’t match what they’re charging. Their idea of “toasted” is way off — I got a tough, barely warm bagel with a smear of flavored cream cheese that somehow cost more than the bagel itself. Not a great combo at all. And the signature bagel sandwiches cost more than a full meal deal elsewhere. Super disappointing. I had hoped this would become my weekly spot, but unfortunately, that won’t be happening.

I have heard about this place on Facebook but I’m rarely ever in Milford. Well today I was an had some time to kill so I figured I’d check them out. I’m glad I did ! From the moment you pull up it’s a great experience nice curb appeal! When you walk in the store is very clean and bright, the young ladies working the front counter on 5/30 were so cheerful and sweet (little did they know I was having a pretty tough week and they brighten my day just by being themselves! ) I wanted to try the lunch but figured I’d give the breakfast a shot they serve that all day so I ordered a plain bagel bacon egg and cheese add sausage. And took my seat to wait for my order which was done in record time ! I decided to sit in and eat it while hot. The bagel was so fresh and light … some bagels can be tough and just a lot of bread this was the perfect balance … it’s very close to a New York BEC which is my favorite! If your around stop in and check them out !

Look, I paid +$12 and a tip for a wrap. I spent my own money and generosity on a lunch that would be prepared such that it was at least worth its price so I could continue my day with fuel. Isn’t that kind of the point of selling overpriced food? This was highly disappointing. Downright insulting, to be honest. The quality just gets worse and worse each time I go. This is unacceptable, and it’s not the first time.

First visit to Milford location. Very happy that it’s up to the standards met by other locations. Got the new Hangover bagel. Be ready to share with someone or bring an empty stomach. Bagel was STUFFED! Tasted great! Will definitely be back

Went to the brand new Surf Bagel today in Milford and holy hell, our little community here is movin’ right on up the ladder! I’m so glad they’re here! The place was packed but they worked efficiently through the line and got us in and out ! I ordered The Kai Boy and my boyfriend ordered an Everything bagel with cream cheese, lox, capers, tomato, red onion and provolone – we also got two of the fresh squeezed orange juice bottles. let me tell you something…. It was the freshest ingredients! Our sammiches were top tier amazing ! I am beyond pleased, and excited to return ! I feel a new addiction coming on!
The restaurant itself is beautiful! Bright vivid and inviting colors and decor – for as busy as it is you’d think you’d spot the occasional random mess but not here !!! This place is SPOTLESS CLEAN ! You could eat off the floor (not recommended). Thank you so much SoDel for coming to Milford ! It’s a real treat to be able to enjoy Surf Bagel whenever we want now!!!

Stopped here because we got sick of looking for the Golden Arches down the road. Glad we did! We both got bagel breakfast sandwiches and both were excellent. The place was clean. The employees friendly. The cooks on point. Prices were fine for value received. Even bought a cool shirt. Will be back!

They were on point with it
